00:00Well, lawyers for Joshua Dale Brown appeared at Melbourne Magistrates Court today, where
00:06they told the court they're expecting their client to face even more charges.
00:11Now, Mr Brown is accused of committing more than 70 child sex offences against eight children
00:16aged between five months and two years old at a Point Cook childcare centre in Melbourne's
00:22West between 2021 and 2024.
00:24Now, today, his lawyers fought to have the exact details of those charges from being
00:30released to the press, arguing that it would be premature to do so because it was likely
00:36that there are more charges to come and that it would deny Mr Brown's right to a fair trial.
00:42However, the magistrate rejected that argument today, stating that the charges against Mr
00:47Brown are a matter of public record.
00:49Now, both Joshua Dale Brown and Michael Simon Wilson, he's a man known to Mr Brown, who's
00:55also facing dozens of charges, including the alleged rape of a teenage boy.
01:00Well, the pair were expected to return to court in September.
01:04However, that date has since been pushed back, with Mr Wilson now to return to court in November
01:09and Mr Brown to reappear in February next year, with the extension expected to give detectives
01:15extra time to continue to build their case.
01:19Let's pray.
