00:00Heavy rain is sweeping across the UK again today.

00:03And 20 flood alerts have already been issued.

00:05The Environment Agency says flooding is possible in places like the Midlands, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Yorkshire.

00:12All while thunderstorms threaten large parts of England and Scotland.

00:15A yellow rain warning is also in place for eastern Northern Ireland.

00:19That means flash floods, dangerous driving, and even damage to homes is likely.

00:23Meanwhile, Wales and southwest England finally catch a break.

00:27They were hit hardest yesterday, but today they escape the warnings.

00:31The Met Office says it's a cloudy and damp start for many.

00:34But don't be fooled. Heavy showers and even hail are expected later.

00:38And tonight, the rain returns, especially in central and northern areas.
