00:00Mosquera's conviction of murder concludes a long and particularly disturbing trial into the events
00:10of July the 8th last year in Shepherd's Bush. According to the prosecution, Mosquera, who was
00:19staying with the couple he murdered, decapitated and dismembered their bodies,
00:25bros parts of their remains and brought the rest in suitcases to Bristol where he planned to haul
00:33them off Clifton Suspension Bridge. Mr Longworth was attacked with a hammer to the back of his head.
00:44Mr Alfonso's death was recorded as he was stabbed to death with footage shown in court
00:51recording Mosquera singing and dancing in the aftermath of the attack. He pleaded not guilty
01:00to murdering both men and insisted Mr Alfonso killed Mr Longworth. The judge, Mr Justice Benathan,
01:10has said he would sentence Mosquera on 24 October, commenting that the only sentence he can impose
01:18is one of life imprisonment, although adding he would order a psychiatric report to help determine
01:27a minimum term. The judge also thanks the jury personally, saying we put serious demands on
01:35jurors, in this case more than most. He highlights that the case went on much longer than the two weeks.
01:43The judge is expected.
