00:02Mr. Speaker, yeah, the resolution was voted down by the Republicans last night, so let's speak the truth.
00:08Because there are two Americas right now.
00:12In their America, billionaires can buy silence, sweep crimes under the rug, and count on friends in high places to protect them.
00:19In our America, if you break the law, you're held accountable, period.
00:22In their America, wealth and power buy secrecy.
00:26In our America, justice demands sunlight and truth.
00:30In their America, underage girls are treated like disposable property by predators who believe they will never face consequences.
00:38And in our America, victims deserve justice, and the predators should face the full weight of the law.
00:44And time and time again, this administration has chosen them, the billionaires, the elite, the people who think children are theirs to exploit over us, the American people.
00:54And time and time again, they've looked into the cameras and promised the American people, we will release the Epstein fowls.
01:04We heard it over and over again.
01:06We'll tell you the truth.
01:08But when the moment of truth comes, they slam the door shut.
01:12Why?
01:12Because their loyalty is not to justice.
01:14It's about protecting the rich and famous and powerful, no matter how monstrous their crimes are.
01:22Meanwhile, Republicans in this chamber are working overtime to gut health care for 17 million Americans to rip food off of families' tables and to kill good-paying jobs for this so-called big, ugly bill.
01:33But when it comes to exposing powerful predators who preyed on underage girls, suddenly, they got nothing to say.
01:41That's because they think there's one set of rules for billionaires and another for the rest of us.
01:48They think the American people will forget, that we'll stop asking questions, that we'll let them keep secrets.
01:55But let me be crystal clear.
01:57This is not about partisanship.
01:59This is about people.
02:01It's our America.
02:05No one, no matter how rich, how famous, or how connected, is above the law.
02:12I would the general wish to yield additional time.
02:14An additional 30 seconds.
02:16Gentlemen, it's recognized.
02:17In our America, no one is beyond accountability.
02:20We will not forget.
02:21We will not look away.
02:22And we will not stop demanding the truth.
02:25We demand the immediate release of the Epstein fowls.
02:27No more games.
02:28No more lies.
02:29No more protection for predators hiding behind.
02:32The rich and powerful.
02:33I yield back.
02:35The gentleman yields back.
02:36The gentlelady reserves.
02:37The gentleman from Georgia is recognized.
