00:00Hello and welcome, welcome to the video. Now this video is all about teaching you

00:05about Blender, animation and lights and so forth. I'm creating a game called Red Bandali. This is

00:13dark, scary, wet cellar. This is where you get stuck later on inside the level, depending on

00:20how long you're here, depending on what happens. Now the idea is to take a 2D flat image. I made

00:28it all available, so if you want it you can download it. So I've made it as a drift folder,

00:32so you can just load it into Blender. It's already set up like I'll show you in a moment. So I've

00:39set the shelf for you, I've created the barrels for you. All you're going to do is add the extra features

00:44like the little bits on the side of it. Just add the detail, that's all you have to do. It's only an

00:48intro video just to kind of introduce you and to tell you what you're going to learn. As I say, I'll

00:53show you the lighting, I'll show you the objects, I'll show you more or less, more or less how to

00:59create the 3D objects. If you want to see the exact making of the object then leave a comment in the

01:06video telling me that you want to watch it from the first beginning and I'll show you the absolute

01:13first beginning. I'll create my content from the absolute single dot on the screen and then I'll create

01:19another dot. Basically all I want to do is get a pencil, it's called a vertex, it's a magic pencil,

01:24that's what it is, it's a 3D pencil. You draw a dot, you draw a dot, there, there, there and there

01:30and same this side and then you just grab the dots, grab the faces and then you pull it out, extruding,

01:36you just pull it out and make a 3D cupboard like that. Anyway, so if you want to see the making of

01:42the space of the basement, the cellar, of the beverage room, I'm going to tell you, it's not a beverage

01:49room, it's a whole lot more than that. You'll have to wait until you see in Red Bandali and then you'll

01:54see what goes on with it. There's all sorts of strange just going on down here. This is the room,

02:02this is what I'm offering you. I'm giving you the photograph in the background as you can see.

02:06So you'll get the barrels, you'll get the cupboard. Now in the Windows 3D viewer, because you've got

02:12the light on the ceiling, you see that savage light down on the floor of a shadow, is the light

02:17from the ceiling, not this light, it's the light that's in the viewer. So if you go here, you can go to

02:23where frame, if you turn it all off, this is how my wireframe looks. I've put some geometry for you, so you

02:29can basically just click on it and extrude it. If you want to take the tops, you can take the tops, push them

02:35down inside the barrel. So you can actually put things in the barrel, if you want to do that.

02:40You can. Of course, some barrels may open, some barrels may not open, but these ones are probably

02:46open. Maybe you've got fish and so forth inside there. It depends what kind of place this is.

02:53Over here, you could have beer, you could have pop, you could have water, you could have whatever you want

02:59to put inside that. As I said, this basement and these items, they hold all sorts of different

03:07type of content, different type of beverages, and I want to tell you also different type of body parts.

03:14So yeah, this basement gets pretty scary later on in the game world. As I said, depending on the game

03:22and the age inside of the game of Red Band Alley. Red Band Alley is a game like no other. I'm

03:29trying to give you some really kind of different content. I'm creating the game for the younger

03:35generation. There won't be no scary bits in that. A teen generation, maybe a couple of scary bits in that.

03:41An adult version, yeah, there's going to be a lot of scary bits in that. And the outer generation,

03:48now, yeah, the outer generation is going to have everything in it, and a whole lot more extra

03:55that's not in your versions. So you, it's up to you which version of it you want to play.

04:01But now, as I said, when it's all up and running, I will show you the game content,

04:05I will show you the gameplay, I will do, I will do the first couple of levels for you,

04:10and I'll show you how to go back doing it. And then I'm going to leave you on your own.

04:16Anyway, if you want to see how to make the basement room, the cellar room, click,

04:22click the next video and watch it. As in, you're going to learn a lot. You're going to learn how to

04:26do the light. No, I'll go back to the photograph and I'll show you. As I said, you can't really see

04:30in the window viewer. As I said, this is the photograph. This is what you're going to get.

04:33You'll get this and you'll get the barrels, the cupboard and the barrels. All you have to make

04:39is the door frame, the door and the walls. That's it basically. And of course, you're going to need

04:47the floor. If you want to wait for model two, I will give you the whole entire room exactly as it is,

04:54minus the textures. Now you can use this texture. If you want to use it, you can use it. But the only

05:01problem with this texture is because it's quite dark. Yeah, I'm going to recommend that you go on

05:07Blender and find some barrel textures, some old barrel textures, and maybe some find some old

05:14moss on the wall. You know, anyway, just just find some textures that look kind of similar to these

05:22and then stick it back on the model and you'll look exactly like this. And then you can change the

05:27lighting situation to suit your needs. It's up to you how you want to do it. As I said,

05:32it's work in progress. It's part of Red Band Alley. And Red Band Alley has got a lot of hidden

05:37gems inside it. It's also got a lot of hidden places in it. Some are scary, some are not. And some

05:43places are pretty incredible. Anyway, go and take a look at the content. Go and have a look at this.
