00:00Pope Leo XIV renewed his call to the Israeli regime for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
00:06The leader of the Catholic Church once again prayed at Sunday Mass for peace
00:09and for the parties involved in the genocide against the Gaza Strip to negotiate peace,
00:13since, in his opinion, the world cannot tolerate this barbarity.
00:18The Supreme Pontiff called on the international community to respect humanitarian law
00:21and the obligation to protect civilians.
00:24The Pope also called for a ban on collective punishment,
00:27indiscriminate use of force, and forced displacements.
00:30As you know, last Thursday there were three deaths and others were injured.
00:41I pray for the victims, and I feel a special closeness to their families and all the parishioners.
00:53Sadly, this act is added to the continuous military attacks against the civilian population.
01:00I once again demand an immediate end to the barbarity of this war and a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
