Cops to investigate influencer and brother over staged disappearance

Police are investigating an influencer and his brother for allegedly providing false statements and staging a disappearance for personal gain. 00:07staged for personal gain and public sympathy.

00:10Mu'ar OCPD Assistant Commissioner Raiz Mughliz Azman Aziz said the man, whose real name is

00:17Tenku Nizaruddin Tenku Zainuddin, was reported missing by his younger brother on Tuesday.

00:23He claimed Eija had gone to Mu'ar to repair a car and never returned.

00:27A large-scale search and rescue operation was launched, involving more than 70 officers

00:32by land, sea, and air.

00:36But investigators soon found inconsistencies in the case.

00:40They believed the so-called victim submerged his wife's car in Sungai Thuy, Lenga, before

00:47fleeing to a neighboring country.

00:49His younger brother later admitted to conspiring with him and pretending to carry out a search

00:55in order to mislead police.

00:57Both men have since given their statements and are being investigated for providing false

01:02information.

01:04ACP Raiz Mughliz reminded the public that filing false police reports is a serious offense that

01:10wastes valuable resources and could jeopardize real emergencies.
