00:23and secret rooms camouflaged behind walls and cupboards on 17 July 2025.
00:28Using the house as a prop, Rohan Saldanha allegedly promised business loans worth crores
00:33and lucrative real estate investments. Victims were asked to pay advanced sums,
00:37ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 4 crore. Once these payments were made,
00:41he would cut all contact and disappear, according to the police.
00:45A raid uncovered a maze of secret chambers and concealed doors inside his opulent residence.
00:50Saldanha allegedly used hidden exits and escape routes to avoid confrontations with creditors.
00:55He would impress prospective victims with displays of power and access
00:59and ghost them once payments were made, police said.
01:02The police also added that the investigation was now underway to determine
01:05how he funded and sustained the operation.
