00:00What's this going to be like for you?
00:02This is going to be your debut, if I'm not mistaken, with Lights Out Extreme Fighting.
00:05I know you're supposed to have the one fight with Thiner that unfortunately did not come to fruition,
00:08but your first fight with them, what drew you to the organization,
00:11and how excited are you to make your debut with this organization?
00:15Fighting in general is always exciting, but with Lights Out, it's something different.
00:19Just because they bring an extra element with MMA fighting,
00:22just that energy is slightly different, and it's local to California, so that's always fun.
00:27I'm sure it is.
00:28You can see all the fans in there, all the family there, ready to see you.
00:32How's that been for you?
00:34Obviously, you've been on the regional circuit a lot throughout California.
00:38How does that work for you as you get to have everyone there for your fights,
00:41everyone's packing you in there?
00:43Has that been a boost for you, or once you're in that cage,
00:46does it not even affect you, or are you just locked in on your opponent,
00:49and everything else is just white noise to you?
00:52You know, to be completely honest, I could razzle-dazzle you and be like,
00:56it fires me up, honestly.
00:57I just, it's just white noise.
00:59I just, I'm there to do my thing and focus and have fun,
01:03because at the end of the day, it's fighting is the most,
01:06the funnest part of everything outside of the training.
01:10Now, of course, you're going to be fighting Danielle Teller on this card.
01:13You know, what have you looked at so far?
01:15Have you studied the tape already, or is it just the point of camp
01:18that you're just focusing on your skills and then sharpening yourself,
01:21and then you'll study her and come up with the game plan closer to the fight?
01:24How do you do things as you prepare for this fight with lights out extreme fighting?
01:28Yeah, I definitely have already done some film studies,
01:31so that's something that we start on pretty early on.
01:35We're actually just watching it again this morning right before,
01:38or during training, so that's always cool.
01:40As teammates, we do that for one another.
01:42We kind of, we'll throw on each other's opponents on the TV that we have here,
01:49and we'll just train and be like, oh, yeah, we'll pick each other's brain about it.
01:53That's fun.
01:55So, yeah, definitely lots of film studies.
01:59Now, she has a lot of experience.
02:01She's been in many different organizations, a big fight record there for you to choose from.
02:06What have you seen maybe in some of this tape that you feel like suits you well in this matchup?
02:10I just watched her combat this fight.
02:13It was pretty good.
02:14A lot of forward, or actually, she did a lot of footwork that fight,
02:18but outside of that, I've seen her fight in the UFC and some other organizations,
02:23and she stayed pretty true to herself in the sense that she's kept her fighting style quite similar
02:28from each other's fights and stuff like that.
02:32So, it makes things kind of easy.
02:36That definitely helps, of course.
02:37To have the one style you've got to look for, of course, for your fighting career so far,
02:42you're still early in it.
02:43You're still only a couple of bouts in.
02:45What's been the biggest thing that you've learned over the last couple of years?
02:47You started off hot for, you know, you've come off the back-to-back losses now.
02:51Do you feel like you, are you one of those fighters that learns more from the losses than the wins,
02:56and you're going to take the bright side of that and that it's going to spur you to become better?
03:00What do you take from those as you try to rebound here and make yourself better
03:05and your best showing here for this next fight?
03:07I think it just, given the time that those fights happened,
03:12I think I just wasn't in a place to be even fighting, but I was.
03:17And I am the best version of myself now than ever before,
03:21so it's really nice to be at peace with that and just try and get back in there and have some fun again.
03:25Because at the time, it just wasn't really doing it for me, you know?
03:31So, I'm back. I'm better.
03:34Yeah, there's plenty of careers that you can kind of just, you know, you're not feeling it.
03:37It goes through a little bit. You just get through the day.
03:39That's definitely not one of them for sure.
03:41So, we're glad to hear that you're in your best place now as you prepare for this fight
03:45and for the next chapter of your career.
03:47You know, for people who may not have seen you yet on some of these other, you know,
03:50regional fights or some of these other fights that you've had before that are going to get to,
03:53you know, maybe get their first taste to you with lights out,
03:55you know, nationwide on the app or whatever they're watching it or, you know,
03:58hopefully they're in person.
03:59If they're in the area, you know, what do you want them to know about you
04:02and your fight style and what they can expect from you in this fight?
04:06I am definitely looking forward to get some controlled chaos in there
04:10and really be able to display some fight IQ this fight.
04:14I'm looking to get, you know, a second round finish, if not third.
04:19Really looking forward to that.
