00:00The most surprising thing about working with Shonda is, I'm going to be honest with you,
00:08is her participation. I've worked with many a showrunner who keep themselves at a distance,
00:15and Shonda is, you know, even with all the hubbub, as you can see around us here,
00:22accessible, and I appreciate that. The thing that I love the most, and I guess it's not surprising,
00:27but I love that she is professional and direct, because she knows what she wants,
00:34and that puts me, as an actor, at ease. When I feel like somebody is steering the ship
00:40really strongly and, like, really firmly, then I can create and push the boundaries of the story
00:47that we're telling even more. So, yeah, the fact that she feels, when you work with Shonda,
00:54you always feel like there is a steady hand at the wheel, and you feel taken care of
00:58personally and professionally.
01:01Oh, gosh. Like, how gentle she is in person, I think, is, I'm trying to think,
01:08because everybody knows so much about Shonda, it's hard to think of something that someone doesn't
01:12know. But, yeah, I think that's just it. She seems like, maybe from a distance,
01:17that she'd lead, like, a big othering life, but, like, very loving and inclusive and just
01:24a lot of fun. A lot of gentle, gentle fun.
