A family-run Chinese takeaway has returned in a new guise - and hungry villagers in Bramhope are queueing up for a taste. G-Wu, on Leeds Road, is the latest incarnation of a beloved homegrown brand. It was previously based out of a restaurant in Moortown, but has been reinvented as a stylish, collection-only takeaway with a handful of tables in Bramhope.

00:00Welcome to GWU. This is a family-run restaurant that's been based in Bram Hope for the past nine months.
00:15I think it's just the people that we work with all the time. It's just a very nice environment to be working in.
00:21So it's just nice to come to work and have a nice time and speak to everyone.
00:24Personally, I really like all the salt and pepper stuff. I think it's very nice.
00:30We've got a popular, it's like crispy beef in OK sauce. I hear that a lot. People want to have that.
00:38And lots of just chow mein dishes people like to eat.
00:41Yeah, I think my favourite would be the Singapore vermicelli, just because you have sort of a variety in one dish.
00:47But yeah, I think the salt and pepper stuff is popular, or the noodles, the rice dishes.
