Transcript
00:00Hi, I'm Simon, Simone Alrababa, and we are in Cafe Brigante, and we are an Italian cafe independent in Leeds, and we are popular for our tiramisu, home-made, and everything what we sell here is home-made, and we bake everything here, we don't buy anything, and people really like it, so I think we are one of the first maybe cafes to do everything fresh from the dessert, from the panini.
00:30from the pizza, from the focaccias, home-made, and that is getting us very popular about.
00:37Hospitality since when I was little, since my dad basically had a pizzeria restaurant in Italy, so I work with him all the time, and since then I never stop, I take this from my dad at the end, yeah.
00:51So this cafe started last year in July, and we opened up 18th of July, and we started, to be honest, very well since the beginning, we got very popular about it, and yeah, so nearly one year now.
01:10It's hard in the beginning, I like no day off, keeping working all the time, every day here, but I like it, because I do something that I really love, and people as well, they come in, the regulars, and the staff as well, and it's really nice to be honest, I'm enjoying it, even if it's no day off, I'm enjoying it, yeah.
01:31So, we are in Leeds, nearly to the city centre, so it's like five minutes to the city centre, and we are in Hunslet Road, next to the Adelphi pub, next to the Tetley pub as well, and our clients, they are Monday to Friday, most of them, they are people walking around here, people living around here, and in a weekend, we are as well getting people from all around Leeds.
01:58I had a customer two weeks ago, she come from Whitby, to try our tiramisu, and they were really happy, yeah.
