00:00Hi, my name's Mai Lin and I'm the owner of Banan Mii. We're a family-run business
00:04started by my husband and I in 2016. We serve Vietnamese street food inspired by
00:09my mum's recipe. We wanted to bring a bit of Vietnamese culture to Leeds and
00:13found the perfect spot in Leeds-Kirrgate market. The most popular thing on the
00:17menu is probably the banh mi. I quite like the pork banh mi, the Uncle Bean's
00:21barbecue pork. It's like a French baguette. We toast that so it's nice and
00:25warm and then we grill the barbecue pork. After the barbecue pork we put a bit of
00:29mayo in the banh mi and then it's filled with like salad so we've got cucumber,
00:33pickled carrot and daikon, coriander. If you like it's spicy we've got chilies on there and there you go.
00:39So we get a lot of office workers, shoppers. It's quite a mixed range of
00:42customers. We get like young people all the way through to old people. It's quite
00:46mixed because obviously they're in the market. A lot of regulars. We get people coming in
00:50maybe two, three times a week. We do loads of office workers because it's quite
00:53healthy. Go back to work and not feel tired.
