00:00but first let's start off with some sports betting news an update on the situation with

00:04California and now Underdog who have decided to change their format very popular sports company

00:11in Daily Fantasy they've decided to go player to player in California changing their format

00:16and it's just the latest in this saga of changes that California is undergoing of course

00:21right now they do not want any sweepstakes they also don't want any Daily Fantasy and right now

00:27the Attorney General Rob Bonta has issued a long anticipated opinion declaring Daily Fantasy

00:32Sports illegal so this would mean peer-to-peer is not exactly Daily Fantasy Sports but seems to me

00:38that they're trying to find a way to stay operating because Underdog has been previously reported a lot

00:43of their revenue has been generated out of the state of California meanwhile the President of the United

00:47States is signing an executive order on NIL deals coming for all collegiate athletes we don't know

00:52exactly what that's going to entail but it certainly could change the landscape of NIL name

00:58and likeness money it's called the SCORE Act student compensation and opportunity through rights and

01:03endorsements it was introduced by the House of Representatives and we have very little details

01:09on it thus far so all we can tell you is it looks like there's some regulation coming

01:13for NIL all right now over to the Open Championship some surprise names at the top

01:18of the leaderboard thus far but the names that we're keeping an eye on of course are the favorites

01:23and right now Scotty Scheffler still the favorite to win the Open Championship and he's just one stroke

01:28off all of the leaders right now a couple of players are four under par at the Open Championship

01:34as the first round as you can see they're getting ready to complete several players teed off about

01:41an hour ago but one notable that I want to bring to you that's not listed there I don't think

01:46although my eyes are not as good as they used to be Phil Mickelson is one under par under par maybe

01:51through the first round the Open Championship he's standing on the 18th hole right now so we'll keep

01:55an eye on that as we go throughout the show we'll have a live leaderboard update at the end of the

01:59program in about 50 minutes from now new signing for the Washington Commanders it is Super Bowl

02:04champion Von Miller who on Instagram said yesterday that yeah he's signing with Washington it's a

02:10one-year deal he'll sign a physical he is 16th on the all-time list in terms of sacks he has 129

02:15and a half Von Miller going from Buffalo to Washington for the upcoming season Major League

02:22Baseball has a break today there are no games but there is some news let's get to the latest here

02:31not home I guess folks knew that Cattell Marte was going to be at the all-star break and it was a high

02:36dollar residential burglary that's what they're calling it no one was injured at the time but

02:48he's going to be out for a period of time after hitting 11 home runs for the Rangers also spent some

02:52time in the minor leagues as far as the all-star game and the ratings are out very surprising to see a

02:58little bit of a decline by approximately three percent based off the numbers in 2024 so right

03:04now the all-star game with the swing off appears to be a little bit down from where it was last year

03:10also a small trade in baseball too the Kansas City Royals have acquired Adam Frazier in a trade with

03:15the Pirates and Frazier of course an infielder who can help them out for the remainder of the season

03:20and in case you missed this earlier I sent this out on social media a little bit of a piece of

03:24breaking news the Marlins have placed Connor Norby on the injured list he had surgery yesterday to

03:30repair a broken hammock bone and he's going to miss approximately six to eight weeks of time hopefully

03:37he could return at the end of the season you can find me on social media there for the latest on

03:40Major League Baseball NBA move yesterday Bradley Beal agreed to a buyout and is going to join the Los

03:47Angeles Clippers he's giving back 13.9 million dollars what a nice guy he made 110 million dollars on his

03:53previous deal with the Phoenix Suns he'll sign a two-year deal apparently with the Clippers

03:57Brianna Stewart at 24 points 11 rebounds and seven assists the Liberty had a big win last night 98 to

04:0477 against the Indiana Fever they played without Caitlin Clark she's questionable for the all-star

04:09game on Saturday also the Phoenix Mercury Satusa Bali also won't play in the WNBA all-star game that's

04:16coming up on Saturday night as well she said that her body needs more time to recover

04:19can't suit up and thanks the organization for everything that they're doing to get her healthy

04:25and also the Minnesota Lynx Kayla McBride will replace Ryan Howard as an all-star reserve Howard

05:14see the jump for also Tommy Fleetwood who's off to a good first round he's 22 to 1 Victor Hovland

05:19is 22 to 1 and Terrell Hatton is 22 to 1 as well so those are the latest odds over at the British

06:25had a lot of success by the way and not just the Masters but at the Open championships as well uh

06:32latest odds as you see there uh Scheffler Fitzpatrick rum McElroy Fleetwood Hovland and uh Terrell Hatton

06:40those are all the uh leaders right now and the updated odds will continue to give that to you

06:45throughout the show uh as far as other events are concerned we've got the WNBA all-star game coming up

06:52on Saturday night and it looks like they're going to be missing several big names due to injury we told

06:58you earlier in the show that the WNBA of course has a ton of popularity and trying to get even more

07:04of it coming into this big all-star game but what would it look like without having Caitlin Clark last

07:09night the Liberty just crushed Indiana 98 to 77 and when Caitlin Clark has not played in WNBA games for

07:18the fever this season the team is four and six so naturally that's not good and uh they're gonna hope

07:26that she plays Saturday but I don't see any scenario that that happens injured players during

07:29the regular season generally don't play in the all-star game and also two Sabali will not play
