00:00Yeah, I mean, in terms of the transfer strategy, it seems like a really interesting, exciting time for Liverpool fans.
00:10We mentioned how Manchester City and Chelsea sort of have constantly flexed their stuff, spending hundreds of millions every summer.
00:17Liverpool's sort of gone under the radar because they had that quality of squad signed and developed under Jurgen Klopp.
00:22And now it seems like it's maybe a bit of a start of a new era with this new strategy.
00:27You know, break your record straight away in shots per summer and then make inquiries like this.
00:33It's certainly an exciting time for the Reds fans.
00:36Yeah, well, Jürgen Klopp called at Liverpool 2.0 after that disappointing 22-23 season when Liverpool missed out on the Champions League.
00:44They obviously went and replenished the midfield that summer, bringing four in, three were very much for the future as well as the present.
00:52And Liverpool didn't make too many signs last summer because Arna Slott was having a look at the squad, seeing what he'd need.
01:02And, yeah, that gives Liverpool the financial capacity to go out and really spend this summer, obviously, winning the Premier League.
01:09It's helped being back in the Champions League for revenue, etc.
01:13Liverpool got no issues with PSI.
01:15I mean, you look at some of the other players who are linked, you know, Rodrigo or Real Madrid, another one who, depending on maybe what happens with Luis Diaz,
01:22if Liverpool could go and get in, that would be another sign and who he would rate as near on world class.
01:30I would think Rodrigo has been that excellent for Real Madrid.
01:33He's just fallen out of favour a little bit there.
01:35And he could make a real impact if he was to come in.
01:39And if you look at the Premier League next season, you would have to say Liverpool are right up there as the favourites to go and defend the title as well.
01:47And I think maybe they do need to offload a couple of players.
01:50But look, Liverpool fans are very happy with what's been happening in the transfer market so far.
01:54Yeah, I mean, you mentioned Darwin Nunez there before.
01:59Obviously, he scored in the Preston game as well.
02:03Paid a lovely tribute to Diogo Jota with his celebration.
02:06I mean, he's clearly got a great relationship with Liverpool supporters.
02:10And we've mentioned before the moments that he had over the last couple of seasons.
02:14You know, those late winners at Newcastle, Brentford.
02:18You know, huge moments that really decided where things were going in terms of Liverpool's title charge.
02:23But we still don't really know the situation with what's going on in terms of his Liverpool future.
02:28What's the sort of latest you can tell us on that?
02:31I think Liverpool, they'll have a price set for Darwin Nunez because his playability, you know, everyone's seen it.
02:40Maybe they haven't seen it enough consistently.
02:43But he's a player who can run them off.
02:45And that's why Liverpool splashed out all that money they did from Benfica three years ago.
02:50It just hasn't quite worked out.
02:51But they'll want to get the majority of that transfer of feedback.
02:55I mean, if you look at it from a PSR perspective, the amortisation, Liverpool won't need to recruit everything they paid for Darwin Nunez.
03:04But they'd like to get as close to that as possible because he's still only 25.
03:09So as a striker, he's probably still a couple of years maybe below his peak.
03:14I think strikers maybe are at the best maybe 27 to 32.
03:18And if he was to say to go to an Italy or Napoli, there's an argument that he might find it a little bit easier there.
03:26He might score a few more goals because the pace of the game may be a little bit slower.
03:30He can run in behind and really cause havoc there.
03:33But Napoli, reports suggest, don't want to pay what Liverpool demand.
03:38And now, do you look to the Saadi Pro League then?
03:42I'm sure that they would like to take a player of Darwin Nunez's stature.
03:46But does Darwin Nunez want to go there at this stage of his career?
03:51Because he's still, as I say, before his prime.
03:56And let's be frank, he won't be tested as much in the Saadi Pro League as he will be in one of Europe's major leagues.
04:04So Liverpool will have the price.
04:06I don't think they're panicking yet.
04:09There's an argument to say, well, what about Florian Wirtz?
04:12Could he get the best out of Darwin Nunez playing in that number 10 role?
04:15Being more of a quintessential attacking midfielder who can play balls through rather than a Dominic Saboslai who was effectively a runner, really.
04:25I mean, he has quality in the final fair.
04:27But he was there for his energy and his press in last season in the number 10 position.
04:31And someone who can really dictate on the ball.
04:33That on lockdown, Nunez, maybe.
04:35So I don't think Liverpool will be panicking yet.
04:38Look, as you said, Nunez, for all of his inconsistencies, he's always been...
04:45Been really loved by a lot of the fans.
04:49Scored a good goal, kept his composure at Preston.
04:53Dummy for Goaty Gakpo's goal as well, which was clever.
04:57Worked hard in a pre-season game, which is fair play to him.
05:00You know, Arna Sloss criticised him after that Aston Villa game, I think.
05:05That bad miss last season.
05:06So, I don't think anyone would be surprised if Dawa Nunez leaves the club.
05:12Absolutely not.
05:14And a lot of that winter palm will dictate what sort of strike a Liverpool will properly go and get.
