00:00The current legislation in New South Wales in relation to e-bikes mainly relates to three
00:05points. First point, bikes can't go over 25 kilometres an hour or be assisted by the motor
00:11over 25 kilometres an hour. Second is if they do have a throttle, that throttle can only assist the
00:17rider up to six kilometres an hour. After that it becomes pedal power only with the motor assisting
00:22and the third is the motor cannot be over 500 watts. Other states are actually 250 watts,
00:29so New South Wales is 500. 50 kilos is the limit under the legislation for an e-bike if it's
00:35to be a legal e-bike. Anything over that, it's not able to be an Australian standards e-bike.
