00:00Why couldn't the Sixers get Ace Bailey interested in playing in Philadelphia?

00:07Because they got lucky.

00:09I think Vijay Edgecombe is the more talented player.

00:13I think they got the better plan.

00:15I think they probably would have taken him anyway.

00:17Ace Bailey talked his way out by saying he'd show up for a meeting

00:21and then not showing up.

00:23He didn't show up for any team.

00:24Guy a little over-evaluating his own self-worth.

00:27But the Sixers should be happy that that's the case.

00:30They don't now have to worry about, oh, they picked the wrong guy.

00:33Well, no, they picked the guy who wanted to become a 76er.

00:37He plays one game in the Summer League, looks dynamite, bangs up his hand.

00:42So now he's out for the rest of the Summer League,

00:45or it just certainly looks that way.

00:47They shut these guys down pretty quickly in the Summer League,

00:50the very high draft picks.

00:51They've already done that with Cooper Flagg, shut him down.

00:54So however Bailey handled his business, don't care.

00:59Better player was Vijay Edgecombe.

01:01Good for the Sixers.

01:02They got the right guy.

01:03So PG had a surgery on his knee.

01:06And can you believe how long it's been since they've gotten it done in Philly?

01:12As far as the basketball goes, yeah.

01:14It's pretty frustrating.

01:16They can't get past the second round.

01:18They went through those process years of being the god-awful worst team in the NBA.

01:23And the only real payoff they got was Joel Embiid.

01:26And Embiid himself individually, when he's been on the court, has been very good.

01:31Two runner-up MVPs and an actual MVP.

01:34But he's always hurt.

01:36They can't get past the second round of the playoffs.

01:38They're borderline.

01:40This may very well be the last year that they try it before they take it down again.

01:44And, yeah, it's been difficult to be a 76er fan these last couple of decades.

01:50Yeah, but not the Eagles.

01:51They kicked the Chiefs' ass.

01:53And will they defend that East crown that no one can ever defend?

01:57Over 20 years, you've had a repeat champion in the NFC East.

02:02Yeah, they're the team to beat.

02:04They lost some guys on defense.

02:06That's what happens.

02:06You win a Super Bowl.

02:08Guys need to get paid.

02:09Some need to go free agent.

02:10But Vic Fangio did such a superior job as their defense coordinator last year.

02:15You've got to have faith in Fangio that he's going to be able to plug guys in.

02:18Look what he did in making Zach Vaughn, an edge rusher, into an outside linebacker.

02:23And he's in the conversation for defensive player of the year.

02:26So, I've got a lot of faith in Fangio.

02:28Their offense will probably be a little bit more pass-heavy.

02:32Saquon had the most unbelievable year any running backs ever had in the league.

02:36But they know they've got to be able to pass the ball a little bit more.

02:38And I think they will.

02:39So, I like the Eagles champ because it's very much so to repeat me.
