00:00And I saw them shut down this flag kid after two games.

00:04And if I were him, I'd be upset.

00:06Now, I get it.

00:07This is the NBA.

00:08This is big money.

00:10This is, you know, we got to protect our asset.

00:14You know, these guys with their time off that they give them, whatever they call it.

00:20You know, management, load management, all this other nonsense.

00:25But a kid that young, he's 18 years old.

00:28This kid plays every day.

00:29Can you imagine that kid showing up down at the Y and they told him he couldn't play because he played yesterday and he needs to take today off?

00:38Have you ever met a guy and you're at the gym all the time, hoop group, wherever, training kids, coaching kids?

00:44Have you ever met a kid that played basketball that didn't want to play every day, seven days a week?

00:48They all want to play every day, seven days a week.

00:49But this is where we're at.

00:51But for all, this has been going on far before Cooper Flagg.

00:55I mean, he's trying to spell it out a little bit.

00:57I hate it.

00:57You know, Vijay Etchko went off in, I don't know, I think I was a Rocky Mountain Summer League for a couple of games.

01:05And then they already shot him down in Philadelphia for a game or two.

01:08So to me, it's just, this is where we're at.

01:11Where, you know, it's the, you may want to call it softness.

01:14I don't know what you want to call it.

01:16Why have the thing then?

01:17Why have the Summer League?

01:19Like, Pharrell, you know and I know it.

01:22The NBA knew exactly what they were doing.

01:25They put him and Bronny, 8 o'clock, first day, prime time, ESPN.

01:32Why?

01:33Pharrell, because they don't know if they're going to get him past game number two.

01:37And usually what happens, Pharrell, is these guys that struggle.

01:40They usually struggle game one.

01:41And if you look at it, I mean, Vijay Etchko was really the one guy I saw, maybe the Johnson kid from Washington, that struggled.

01:48They all struggled the first game.

01:50And then they get their bearings game two.

01:52Once they have a big game two, they usually shut these kids down.

01:56You'll see guys that are not going to be in the league or guys that are late first-round picks or second-round picks.

02:02You'll see more of those guys than you'll see a guy like Cooper Fagg.

02:06Cooper Fagg did not play well first game shooting the ball.

02:09But he showed me, Pharrell, the ability to do a lot of other things.

02:14And I think when you look at his game, he's going to be a chameleon.

02:17He will not get you 25 points a night.

02:20Can he get you 30 tonight?

02:21Yes.

02:22Can he get you 10 boards?

02:23Yes.

02:24Can he get you 10 assists?

02:25Yes.

02:26Can he get you four steals?

02:28Yes.

02:28Can he get you three blocks?

02:30Yes.

02:31And Joel, it depends on the matchup.

02:33Better way to bet him early in the year, rebounds plus assists, steals plus blocks.

02:37So he's, you're right, exactly as usual.

02:42He does so much more than just a 10-6-4.

02:45Like that he had in a game that everybody said was so terrible.

02:49I mean, some guys don't have a 10-6-4 the entire season.

02:53Like a stat line like that.

02:55And then he turns around and has a 31-burger.

02:58The guy is capable of doing so many things on a basketball floor.

03:01Blocking shots, making passes, the way he runs the screen, the pick and roll, everything

03:08that he does, the way he attacks the 10, the way he fills the lane, the way he runs,

03:15everything about his game.

03:16There's so many other things that he does that are spectacular.

03:19I think it's going to be fun to watch him.
