00:00So let me ask you, did you watch Ace Bailey at all play last night?
00:05And are you looking forward at all to Cooper flag against Bronny James in Vegas?
00:11That's Thursday.
00:12And the tickets are actually going for like 2,500 courtside and, you know,
00:17600 bucks in the upper deck at the Thomas and hack to watch him play.
00:22I know you don't get into the NBA that much.
00:25Oh, no, but I'm interested in this juxtaposition here.
00:28Cooper flag against Bronny James feels like Mike DeCoursey against Mike Tyson.
00:32I'm sorry.
00:33I mean, let's be real about this.
00:35We're talking about a generational prospect in Cooper flag and LeBron's kid who averaged five and a half points in his one year at Division I basketball.
00:44I'm not saying LeBron is a poor player, but I don't see him as an equal attraction or an equal athlete in that confrontation there.
00:55It just feels a little off balance to me.
00:58But I am interested to see how Cooper does.
01:01I think he's going to be a terrific player.
01:03I'm excited that Ace is working out for him.
01:07I still don't know what happened prior to the draft, and I don't know that it's been fully addressed, why he didn't go to Philadelphia and how he ultimately ended up in Utah.
01:17Utah, it's going to be a really tough year in Utah because they seem pretty determined to wind up back in the lottery again next year.
01:25So he's going to have a, just as he did at Rutgers this past season, he's going to have a rough ride in terms of wins and losses.
01:31But I think he's a talent.
01:32And everybody that I've spoken to that knows him well, this is a wonderful young man.
01:38So I hope he's happy with how his career develops because I have not heard a bad word about him.
01:45He got a bad shake for a guy that everybody loves.
01:48All the coaches, all the trainers, all the players, everyone in the Big Ten loved him.
01:52They think he's just a great kid.
01:54And then overnight, he was suddenly a problem.
01:57Yeah, it's just the way sometimes things work out with the media narratives.
02:01And he did not, and his representation, his group did not do him any favors.
02:08He should have gone to Philly.
02:10Why would you not want to be the third pick in the draft, Scott?
02:13It's multiple millions of dollars depending on how many spots you drop from there.
02:18But you got to go give yourself the best chance to be the highest pick you can possibly be.
02:22And by not going to Philadelphia for the workout in the interview, which he would have aced, excuse the pun, in both cases, made a huge mistake.
