Panama has launched joint military exercises with the U.S. Southern Command, running from July 13 to 18, aimed at bolstering security around the Panama Canal and other strategic infrastructure. teleSUR

00:10According to a press release, the exercise called Panamax Alpha 2025 Phase 1 aims to

00:15reinforce preparedness for security threats to the Panama Canal and other strategic infrastructure

00:21of the country.

00:22As part of the bilateral cooperation between both nations, the activities are taking place

00:26from July 13th to the 18th in three bases located in the provinces of Panama, Colón and Arien

00:33and come with the participation of three helicopters at the Joint Task Force Bravo of the Southern

00:37Command.
