00:00Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander has said that there is lots more to come from his team in pre-season as they build towards the League 1 campaign following a draw against Chorley.
00:10Different test for us today to last week. A lot more physical. They're a good team. They did well last year in the National League.
00:20I thought first half we didn't really get our game going in over the press.
00:25There were some good bits but there's other things that we definitely have to improve on. I thought their front two causes too many problems for my liking.
00:34But second half we were better. We were more aggressive. We played in their half a lot more.
00:39So there's things that we were looking at a little bit of analysis at half time.
00:42So there's lots to take from there to obviously sort of strengthen the ideas that we want how we want to play both on a positive and negative side.
00:52But the players put in a real tough physical shift for both 45 minutes which we were looking to get out of the game.
00:59And seeing those improvements in pre-season whether it's day on day, week on week is what this period is all about really isn't it?
01:05Yeah look it's similar to the same as last pre-season what we looked to get.
01:11So we want to have different opponents, different types of games.
01:14And Leeds United full-back Sam Byron has said that everyone at the club's goal is for Leeds to stay up next season.
01:22To reach the Premier League with your boyhood club, I think when you're younger it probably seems out of reach.
01:27But as the years go on it's just something that I can't believe has happened.
01:31We need to obviously not underestimate the task ahead. It's a huge task.
01:35I think the past two seasons prove how difficult it is to stay in the league.
01:39But when you look at a club the size of Leeds with the fan base and the support and the stadium I think there's no better team for the challenge.
01:45There's no doubt that everyone's goal is to stay in the league and finish as high as we can in the table so you know we're not just here to sort of turn up and see where we finish you know we want to really fight and do our best to finish as high as we can.
01:57Physically probably the best condition I've felt in a while off the back of two good seasons now with relatively no injuries which you know the longer you can build that the more reliable and resilient you become.
