00:00Bradford City are continuing to step up preparations ahead of the new League One season.
00:05That's according to their manager, Graeme Alexander, who was speaking after their most recent pre-season friendly.
00:10He wants the Bantams to develop a good style of playing.
00:14Yeah, look, I think, you know, I think it's just that we have to step up each week and we've tried to do that without having any injury problems or issues.
00:23And we've been pretty lucky on that side of it. But I think we still need to improve.
00:30Certainly, I think the tactical element in our game from what I saw tonight, the physical one, they're in good shape physically for three weeks into pre-season.
00:40There's another three weeks to go. But Austria is a really important part of, you know, we don't go home, so to speak, at the end of the day.
00:48We're still there. So we're still working. We can still analyse. We can still talk to players. We can go out and repeat the sessions and then do them better.
00:56So for me, this physical mental is 50-50. It's not just a slog at all. I think the work we do is needed.
01:05But I think the important, the real important part is getting the group together and really stamping down on those ideas of how we want to play.
01:14And one of Leeds United's latest recruits, Gabriel Goodmanson, has spoken of the connection he has to the Premier League via his father, who played in England's top flight.
01:23I was growing up watching the Premier League and obviously my father played there as well. So it's a bit of connection there already.
01:29Your dad was part of a Blackburn Rovers team that came and played at Ellen Road. I don't think he got a game in that one.
01:36So he's been here, but that was before you were born, wasn't it?
01:38It was, yes.
01:39So has he told you stories about how the game is in this country?
01:42Yeah, I'm told. But I also know it. I think the Premier League is kind of common, what they are doing and playing, this sort of play style.
01:50But it's an amazing league. It's a big competitive league. Strongest league in the world, I think, in my opinion.
01:56And do you know a little bit about the background here, what you've walked into, if you like, here at Ellen Road now, what this place is all about?
02:04Actually, my friends and family told me that the fan base is huge.
02:08And obviously I know that. And also the stadium here is unbelievable as well with the fans shouting.
