00:00Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander has been reflecting on what was a crazy end to the season for the Bantons
00:06as they were promoted in the 96th minute of the final day of the season thanks to a winning goal from Anthony Sarcevic.
00:14That saw Bradford into third place at the expense of Walsall who went into the playoffs in League Two.
00:21Alexander was speaking from Bradford's open top bus parade following their promotion.
00:25Yeah, relief. Relief that we've done the job. That was it. Obviously it was just like it didn't sink in because it happened so quick.
00:34When we scored with 20 minutes to go and we could have so long to complete it. It was so far at the end.
00:41And then the minute when we restarted. It's the longest minute ever.
00:48But as soon as I shot wide, I thought that was it, game over.
00:51I saw the ref go and make his way to the tunnel. That's where me and Skip were reaching to side and running off the pitch before the final whistle because you could see the ref doing it.
01:00So, amazing. I don't know what I was going through in mind to be honest with you, but I ain't got a clue.
01:05I just know that we've got a fantastic job on me and Skip. I mean, absolutely everyone has paid a part of the season.
01:11Bradford City's recent signing, Max Power, said that he hopes for Bradford City as a club to experience more days like they just had as they were promoted from League 2 to League 1.
01:23Power has just signed a two-year deal at the club, but now hopes that the club can go on to even greater successes with him as part of the new squad.
01:32Yeah, I've always known how big a club this is and the fan base, you know, it speaks for itself and they're great days.
01:43I've been lucky enough to have some promotions myself, so, you know, when I see the scenes, I'm hoping in 12 months' time, you know, we could try and replicate that.
01:53That'll be the aim and the plan. But no, I'm delighted to get things done and, you know, like I said, I've always been an admirer of Bradford.
02:05My last memory actually wasn't great for Sunderland. I got a red card and I had the walk of shame in the full length of the pitch, so I'm hoping for some happier times here.
