00:45Hello, welcome to From the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Dresdú Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news.
00:52The health officials in Palestine confirmed that at least 47 people were killed on Monday in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.
01:04Among them are 27 people killed in strikes on Central and Southern Gaza.
01:09According to published reports, the main targets of the attacks were the New Seraph refugee camps, the Shuhaia neighborhood and the Al-Shavtawin area.
01:16Moreover, four people were reportedly killed in an Israeli drone strike against a group of civilians in Han Junis.
01:23In addition to armed attacks, the Israeli regime is continuing its offensive against the Palestinian people by restricting access to food, drinking water, fuel, and water.
01:29And other humanitarian aid.
01:30And an Israeli plan to create a new military aid.
01:31And an Israeli plan to create a new attack on Israel and the Al-Shavtawin area.
01:32In addition to armed attacks, the Israeli regime is continuing its offensive against the Palestinian people by restricting access to food, drinking water, fuel, and other humanitarian aid.
01:48And an Israeli plan to create a so-called humanitarian city in the ruins of Rafa in the southernmost part of the Gaza Strip is receiving widespread backlash from international organizations and local authorities.
02:09The plan, unveiled by Tel Aviv's defense minister Israel Katz last week, entailed the relocation of about 600,000 displaced Palestinians currently living in the alleged humanitarian zone of Al-Mawasi in Rafa.
02:22To achieve it, army representatives met with cabinet members on Sunday to establish a possible timeline, estimating the city's creation would cost between $10 to $15 billion and take more than a year.
02:34Shortly after the announcement was made, various humanitarian agencies, lawyers, and international leaders, condemned the plan, calling it a concentration camp and a blueprint for crimes against humanity.
02:49In this context, the Israeli army has intensified the demolition of homes and civilian structures in the city of Rafa as part of its ongoing military offensive,
02:59while it lays the ground for the construction of the alleged humanitarian city.
03:04Precisely, citizens and human rights organizations report the use of bulldozers and explosives to raze entire neighborhoods to the ground, leaving hundreds of families homeless.
03:13In this context, the United Nations has warned about the worsening humanitarian crisis, with many Palestinians displaced in Rafa, lacking shelter, drinking water, and food.
03:24In Palestine, the Gaza Civil Defense spokesman denied reports of a withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the Zeytun, Tufa, and Shuhaya neighborhoods.
03:40The civil defense in Gaza assured that Israeli troops are still present in these areas, where clashes and military operations continue.
03:48Thus, the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip continues to be critical, with hospitals on the verge of collapse and thousands of displaced families.
03:56On the other hand, this information in the midst of a genocide operation has become a recurring problem, making it difficult to access verifiable data on the ground.
04:05In this sense, the defense teams urged the media to verify sources before disseminating news that could generate false expectations among the people.
04:13An Israel relatives and activists demonstrated this Sunday night in front of the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, demanding an agreement for the return of all hostages in Gaza.
04:32With photographs of the hostages and protest banners, demonstrators expressed the overwhelming majority of the people of Israel want to reach an agreement that would guarantee the return of hostages and an end to the genocide in Palestine.
04:47This series of demonstrations comes a week after Prime Minister Bayan Netanyahu visited Washington to discuss the agreement with the Trump administration.
04:56However, the emergence of a new sticking point over the deployment of Israeli troops during the troops raises the public doubt about the viability of a new deal.
05:06In other topics, the Foreign Ministry of Iran denounced the interference of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the negotiations with the United States on Tehran's nuclear program.
05:24Precisely, the Persian authority statements come after the Israeli Premier openly dictated instructions on what Washington should say in stocks on Iran's nuclear program.
05:35The Foreign Ministry condemned Netanyahu's claims as arrogant and emphasized that Iran would never accept accusations from individuals wanted by international bodies for their crimes against humanity.
05:46Furthermore, the Islamic Republic also condemned Tel Aviv's double standards in concealing details of its atomic arsenal from international law while pointing to Tehran's unproven possession of nuclear weapons.
05:58And in Syria, the Interior Ministry reported over 35 dead and 100 others injured amidst fighting between Bedouin tribes and local fighters in the predominantly truce city of Surayda.
06:16Clashes took place during Sunday night near the Al Thala military airport and the bridge of Hazan village.
06:22As a result, authorities registered massive displacements in the region, forcing residents to flee from Calcala village to Surayda town.
06:30Local media confirmed the armed takeover of Al Surah village while local factions managed to regain control of Al Thayda village in the west of the province.
06:39In Syria, authorities announced that they have brought under control the forest fires that affected thousands of hectares of forest and farmland in Latakia.
07:04The flames, fanned by a heat wave, devastated thousands of hectares while the joint effort of local teams and international support succeeded in containing the main fires.
07:13The Ministry of Emergencies detailed that the fires that started on July 2 consumed approximately 15,000 hectares in the west of the country.
07:21Despite the difficulties, no fatalities were reported, although several communities were evacuated as a precaution.
07:27For his part, the Minister of Emergency highlighted the work of the rescue teams as well as the support received from countries such as Jordan, Turkey and Lebanon.
07:36A new Russian authorities maintain a fire alert in several regions due to forecasts of warm weather in the coming days.
07:50Russian authorities have reinforced preventive measures, including air patrols and restrictions on access to high-risk areas.
07:57During the last 24 hours, forest fire departments have extinguished 65 fires covering an area of 1,091 hectares.
08:04It is expected that the extinguishing work will continue in the next hours while the emergency teams monitor possible new ignitions.
08:11And Venezuelan authorities were deployed in the state of Apure to immediately attend to the collapse of the bridge that connects the town of Bruxelles with the town of Mantecal.
08:27Through the Instagram and social network, the Minister of Transportation, Ramon Velasquez, Araguayan, highlighted that the authorities are on alert to attend any eventualities derived from the rainfall.
08:38In the midst of challenges left by natural events, the national and regional governments together with the Bolivar National Armed Forces and the people's power are promoting protection mechanisms that respond efficiently and closely to the needs of the communities.
