New Delhi, July 14, 2025 (ANI): The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea challenging the Delhi High Court’s stay on the release of the film ‘Udaipur Files’. The matter was mentioned by Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia, representing the producers, who argued that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had already cleared the movie.
00:00The order of the Honorable High Court which has stayed the release of the movie Udaipur Files, that order needs to be set aside and we have requested, we have prayed from the Supreme Court to grant release of this movie.
00:15The court has said that he has observed that in one or two days the matter will be listed, so when the matter will be listed, we will know that the Supreme Court will be listed in the case of this movie.
00:38Sir, we have written the grounds in detail, so we cannot comment on that.
00:49Therefore, I am just refraining myself to comment anything over national media regarding the legal grounds that we have taken.
00:56I can only tell you the prayer that we have since the Honorable High Court has provided a stay on the release of the movie, we are seeking that the movie be released.
01:04Sir, you must be asked for the cause of the law enforcement of this party.
01:19Sir, you should be sure that the order is written in the high court, but we also have to challenge that order under Article 136 of the Constitution of India is our legal right.
01:37The producer has given us instructions to file the SLP. We have filed the SLP. We trust the judiciary.
01:44And by reposing our trust in the judiciary, we have filed this SLP in the Supreme Court on the instructions of the petitioner.
01:51Maybe if the order of the Honourable High Court itself gets stayed, then the movie also gets released.
01:59My name is Pulke Tagarwal. I am the AOR for producer Amit Jani who has filed this SLP in the Supreme Court challenging the Delhi High Court's order of 10th of July whereby the release of the movie Udaipur Files was stayed.
