New Delhi, July 10, 2025(ANI): The Delhi High Court on July 10, put a stay on the release of “Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder” until the Central Government decides on the revision application filed by Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind challenging the CBFC’s certification of the film. Talking to ANI, Advocate Pulkit Agarwal, counsel for film producer Amit Jani, said, "The court has ordered that the release of this film should be stayed for now. So, after reading the entire order, we will sit and decide whether to challenge it in the Supreme Court...We just want to show that the movie is about Hindu-Muslim unity. There is nothing in it that would hurt the sentiments of any community. Yesterday, the petitioner's counsel saw the entire film. If there had been anything in the film, the censor board would not have passed it. The censor board had made more than sixty cuts. After that, this movie got the censor certificate..."
