00:00Hey everybody, just wanted to give the same disclaimer I gave to the previous Houseguest
00:04interviews that this interview was provided to me by CBS. It features questions that were
00:11asked by CBS and sent to us to put out on behalf of the press. I've edited it in myself asking
00:19what I think is the best approximation of the questions just to create a little bit more of a
00:23flow, a back and forth. But again, I did not ask these questions directly to Rachel. Hope you enjoy.
00:31I didn't pack lightly. I packed history, strategy, and a bold red lip.
00:37How are you feeling getting to play Big Brother a third time?
00:42It feels amazing to be returning to the Big Brother house, but I'm also really nervous.
00:46I honestly have to say my stomach is in knots and I have no idea what to expect. I haven't
00:53played this game since season 13. Look, I'm no stranger to reality TV. I've been doing this for
00:59the past 15 years, but to come back to Big Brother, I mean, I guess you can take the girl out of the
01:05Big Brother house, but you can't take the Big Brother out of the girl. Why did you want to
01:11return to Big Brother? So I've been returning for a lot of guest appearances since 2011 when I last
01:18won Big Brother. And now I think is the best time as any. My kids are a little bit more grown. And
01:26I don't know, I'm here to win that $750,000. And I mean, look, in this economy, why not?
01:33Truth. How hard is it going to be for you to cut yourself off from the outside world again?
01:39Yeah, it's going to be really hard for me to be cut off from the world this time. I am leaving
01:45my daughter, Adora, who's nine years old, and my little baby, Adler, who is four. And of course,
01:51my husband of 12 years, Brendan, who I met in 2010 on Big Brother. This is going to be really
01:58challenging for me this time. I've never left my family this long. And being a mom, being a little
02:06bit older and more mature, moving in with a bunch of kids. I'm a little nervous. But you know,
02:14I love Big Brother. I love the game. And I come to win. So I'm here to play, bring it on.
02:21How do you think the other house guests will react when they see you're a part of Big Brother 27?
02:27I think the other house guests are going to freak out when they see me entering the house.
02:32They thought that they came here to be the stars of Big Brother. And they have another
02:36shocker coming because I'm here. I think they're going to be upset. And I think they're going to
02:42be excited. I'm sure I'm going to have people that love me, people that hate me and people that love
02:47to hate me. I don't know, I'm going to use it to my advantage. If they hate me, then they can see
02:53themselves out the front door. Hopefully on my HOH. The house guests should feel terrified. Look,
03:00I have played so many of these reality TV games. But not only that, I have played by some of the best
03:08competitive gamers in all of history of reality television. Look, I played with Sari. I've played
03:15with Janelle. I've played with Brittany. I have played with Queens on one show or another, and I
03:24have learned from them. And they're all my friends. So at the end of the day, they should be terrified
03:32when they see me. What are you most and least looking forward to from your time on Big Brother
03:3827? I'm most looking forward to competitions. Those are my favorite things about Big Brother. I love the
03:46competitions. And I'm most looking forward to winning HOH and getting to have some iconic HOH lines
03:53when I win and kick some people out of the house. I'm really looking forward to that.
03:59I'm really looking forward to making great TV. I am dreading being away from my family. It is part of
04:06my heart being torn away. But again, $750,000 is on the line. I'm here to play Big Brother. This is my
04:15dynasty. I'm the queen. And I'm part of the royal family of Big Brother. So I'm here to
04:23play the game. And I'm here to make great good TV. What's your strategy going into the house?
04:29So this time around, I have to really focus on my social game, right? Like, I'm not known for a
04:36social game. Shocker to everyone that's watching. I think that I've always had Brendan play Big Brother
04:45with me. But look, I've played other shows without Brendan. So this isn't going to be the hardest part.
04:51But the hardest part for me is going to be controlling my feistiness because she comes out and she comes
05:01out loud.
05:04What makes Big Brother such a successful show after 25 years?
05:09Fans continue to love Big Brother because it's our favorite summer show. We have strategy and there's
05:16gameplay and there's showmances and there's 24-7 live feeds. Like literally, Big Brother is everything
05:23you ever want in a reality show. And it's all like in one little package. I think the fans would love it
05:29if we could have a year-long Big Brother. I mean, I would love it as a fan. I mean, I don't know if I
05:35would want to do a year-long big brother. But as a fan, I would love to see that. And it's a success
05:40because it's fun. We have, you know, changing of powers every week. We have the opportunity for
05:48the underdog to win something. It's just a really fun, you know, it's like a sporting event, kind of.
05:55You know, you get to root on your favorite players and you get to learn about people and it's a social
05:59experiment.
06:00How would it feel to become the first two-time winner in Big Brother history?
06:08I would love to win a second time. I think that that's my goal. That's why I'm here, right? Like
06:16I came to win $750,000. Convincing a group of people that have never been on reality TV
06:23to vote for someone that has won multiple reality TV shows. Not just one. I've won numerous reality TV
06:31shows. Um, I think that that in lies the greatest challenge of all. So if I pull this off,
06:38then can I finally be labeled a good Big Brother player, please?
