Friday's store sale at Carcoar was a 'seller's market,' as lighter cattle push demand above $5 per kilo, moving cattle to greener pastures.

00:00Definitely a seller's market, particularly with the way all the countryside looks here
00:11and to the south, it's amazing to see a season like this which is probably far from ideal
00:17for most people, but getting rewarded with these sort of prices for the cattle, it's
00:21great to see.
00:22A good run of calves, which wouldn't probably usually be offered at this time of the year.
00:31Steers 250 kilos plus have made from 460 at the real bottom end of it, probably out to
00:40touching on $5, a lot of steers for 480 and 90 a kilo up into the mid 300 kilo bracket.
00:47It's a fair market I'd suggest, it could have been a little bit higher, but this time
00:53of the year, that's what I'd expect.
00:55Things have been really tough, you know, the wet seasons over the last three or four years
00:59have been pretty hard, I think it's mucked up all the growth patterns.
01:02Looking forward to a change again this season, a good spring coming through, so farmers are
01:06offloading a bit of stock to ease off with demand on our pastures, and then we'll revisit
01:12again once spring comes on.
01:1412.30, but 30, but 30, and over they go, at 12.30, what a madonna!
