00:00:15Nobody can be or do you better than you.
00:00:18And your individuality is your greatest strength.
00:00:22So my greatest strength, which for me I know now,
00:00:26is my mindset.
00:00:27Your mind controls you.
00:00:46...if du willst etwas, nichts zu stopt du von dir was du willst.
00:01:45Ich bin soweit.
00:01:46Ich muss mich auf die Ziele zeigen.
00:01:47Du verletzt aus.
00:01:48Du wirst müsste mein quedtern.

00:01:56Es ist nach dem Herzen.

00:02:30.
00:02:32.
00:02:34.
00:02:36.
00:02:38.
00:02:40.
00:02:42.
00:02:44.
00:02:46.
00:02:48.
00:02:50.
00:02:52.
00:02:56.
00:02:58.
00:03:00.
00:03:04.
00:03:06.
00:03:08.
00:03:10.
00:03:12.
00:03:14.
00:03:16.
00:03:18.
00:03:20.
00:03:22.
00:03:24.
00:03:26Is that still our game?
00:03:27That's still our game.
00:03:28Even when you look at the pitch, it's centre to everywhere.
00:03:32So we'll be up there.
00:03:34There'll be our bedrooms over there or in this block.
00:03:37Everyone can see who's out.
00:03:39That window there, right in the corner, you climbed out.
00:03:43So the story was, Mum was like, look, you're not going out.
00:03:47So what they did is, we've got the main door,
00:03:50but they locked the game so he couldn't go out.
00:03:52And when I mean they were playing football in the pitch,
00:03:55and I was itching to get out.
00:03:59And kid you not, don't know what the hell came over me,
00:04:02but I climb out the top window.
00:04:05That was the toilet.
00:04:06They came back at a random time.
00:04:08And then my mum could not believe.
00:04:10She was like, have you got a spare key?
00:04:12I was like, no.
00:04:13She goes, you've got a spare key.
00:04:14I goes, I haven't.
00:04:15She goes, how'd you get out of the house?
00:04:16Show me how you got out.
00:04:18And I was like, boy, the adrenaline had gone by that time.
00:04:21So I was like, yeah, Mum.
00:04:23And she was like, you want to die for football.
00:04:26This was just, you want to die to go out.
00:04:28And it was just, I remember it was the first and last time,
00:04:30because my mum whooped my arse.
00:04:32Hello.
00:04:33Hello there.
00:04:34Cheers.
00:04:35Cooler.
00:04:37Nadia, look at you guys.
00:04:39Yeah.
00:04:40You look still young.
00:04:41I know.
00:04:42Do you know what?
00:04:43You look when I was going up and says nothing.
00:04:44What are they looking at?
00:04:45Cheers.
00:04:46Oh, look at you.
00:04:47What are you looking at?
00:04:48Cheers.
00:04:49What are you looking at?
00:04:50That's about it.
00:04:51Oh, wow.
00:04:52Knee high.
00:04:53Knee high.
00:04:54Knee high.
00:04:55Swopper.
00:04:56I know.
00:04:57I know.
00:04:58I know.
00:04:59I know.
00:05:00I know.
00:05:01I know.
00:05:02I know.
00:05:03I know how you speak it.
00:05:04It's this way.
00:05:05Yeah.
00:05:06See, this is it.
00:05:07This is the cornerstone.
00:05:08This right here.
00:05:09No phones.
00:05:10You just came out and everybody was here.
00:05:12It was real.
00:05:14You may be late for work now.
00:05:16Yes sir.
00:05:17Bring it in.
00:05:18Bring it in.
00:05:19It's worth it.
00:05:20It's worth it.
00:05:21Oh my God.
00:05:22It's absolutely worth it.
00:05:24It's worth it, man.
00:05:31When you're a young person and you're hearing from manager after manager rejection,
00:05:36you know what?
00:05:37I couldn't really get through my head was the fact that every manager that I was coming
00:05:40across was saying, look, B, you can play, but they just couldn't get past the size thing,
00:05:45which baffled me because I figured once you do the training, you'll get yourself fit.
00:05:49They were saying I was the best player they come across.
00:05:51And then when you hear managers then turn around rejecting you, like it hits your ego.
00:05:55I've seen my brother grow up.
00:05:56Well, I've grown up with my brother and seeing the work that he puts in day in and day out
00:06:04just to become a footballer.
00:06:05Like I've seen him go downstairs, pick up the ball early hours, just to practice.
00:06:12And then being told no countless of times, being told that he's too big to play football.
00:06:18And even at a young age being told that you're too big to play football.
00:06:22And despite that, like he was still persistent.
00:06:24He didn't care.
00:06:25Like no one was going to tell him that he weren't going to be a baller.
00:06:28He always found rejection, but it wasn't about his ability.
00:06:32It was about his appearance.
00:06:34When I first met Bale the footballer, I was like, this guy's amazing.
00:06:37He could do everything, literally.
00:06:39When we were in primary school, I remember scouts came down from Arsenal.
00:06:44Bale was just doing amazing stuff on the ball, dribbling everyone.
00:06:47I know Bale from secondary school.
00:06:50They just wouldn't know his story.
00:06:52They just wouldn't know what he's going through to get to this point right now.
00:06:56He's literally been through every sort of rejection.
00:07:01I remember a specific story of them saying like, oh, you're really good as a footballer.
00:07:06Do you want to come to Arsenal to train with other kids your age for a bit?
00:07:10And he was like, nah, I support Liverpool.
00:07:13If Liverpool come, I'll go to them.
00:07:15For me, my brother was undoubtedly the best player I had ever seen at that age.
00:07:20He could do things that no other people could do.
00:07:23He had the best touch that I had ever seen.
00:07:26He played with such energy, with such dedication.
00:07:30You can see that it was football over everything.
00:07:33When he told me that he had the opportunity to go to Lithuania,
00:07:36because it just wasn't happening for him here.
00:07:40And I was confused because I've seen him play football all his life.
00:07:44They weren't giving him the break.
00:07:46And I remember looking at him thinking, wow, you're going to go on board.
00:07:50And he was like, yeah, I'm going to go.
00:07:51I'm going to show people what I can do.
00:07:54I'm going to show them my talent.
00:07:56And I guarantee you, once I've done that, people will know and you'll see me back here.
00:08:01So the Lithuanian thing came about was because I remember they said they was going to pay me to play football.
00:08:10So it was my first professional contract.
00:08:12So I call.
00:08:13So it didn't even cross my mind.
00:08:15I keep telling.
00:08:16It didn't cross my mind that I didn't speak the language.
00:08:18Didn't cross my mind that I wouldn't enjoy the food.
00:08:21And it didn't cross my mind that I'd be the only black person there.
00:08:24So anyway, we fly out and we're staying in a city, Klaipador, which is like four hours away from Vilnius.
00:08:32So we get to Klaipador.
00:08:34And so I what I'd learned quickly that I was the first black person in the league and one of four or five black people in the city of Klaipador.
00:08:47So we play our first preseason game and it wasn't in the stadium.
00:08:52So when you play, it was a lesser team.
00:08:54So when you play the game, the fans are standing beside the pitch.
00:08:59So anyway, we're about to kick off.
00:09:01And as strikers do, I stood.
00:09:03So I thought I heard monkey charts.
00:09:06I was like, nah, man, that can't be the case.
00:09:09So anyway, five minute goals.
00:09:11And it's the first time now I touch the ball.
00:09:13So I bring it down on my chest.
00:09:14And I was like, whoa, that's monkey charts.
00:09:20So now I'm like, nah, that's definitive.
00:09:22I know this shit.
00:09:23Anyway, five minutes goals.
00:09:26Then, hits.
00:09:29Zigga, zigga, zigga.
00:09:31Shoot the fucking nigga.
00:09:33And see, what makes this whole story even worse was, say it was about a thousand people that were just chanting that.
00:09:41500 were my own fans.
00:09:43So the start of the second half comes.
00:09:45And I remember it started again.
00:09:48Zigga's, I was like, nah, man, I'm coming off.
00:09:50And I remember coming off and the roar from the crowd was like a goal was scored.
00:09:56So I remember I walked off and I remember I get the president of my club.
00:10:01I get his phone and I phone my brother.
00:10:02And I goes to him, yo, yo.
00:10:04Yo, Shams.
00:10:05You hear me?
00:10:06The older one.
00:10:07I was like, I'm coming home.
00:10:08He's like, why?
00:10:09Because yo, man, these man are being racist.
00:10:11This is what they said.
00:10:12I said to him, look, listen, if you come home, then they've won.
00:10:18It's not about them.
00:10:19It's about you.
00:10:21I went back to the hotel I was there and thinking, listen, I'm coming home.
00:10:25But boy, I woke up the next day and I just remember saying to myself, ain't nobody running me out of anywhere.
00:10:31So I went to Lithuania to support my brother.
00:10:34And I was 14 at the time.
00:10:36So even just analysing that whole situation, one memory that stood out to me, I can remember going to like a supermarket.
00:10:44So we walked in the supermarket and I ain't even going to lie to you, like the whole supermarket stopped.
00:10:50So I'm thinking, right, I'm on edge.
00:10:53So I'm looking at my brother like, yo, what's going on?
00:10:56And then I can remember like a young girl.
00:10:58She could have been like seven, eight.
00:11:00And she ran up to us and she done like the Hitler sign and she said white power.
00:11:03He was a guy from London being over in Lithuania.
00:11:07So I think he had some very low moments.
00:11:10And that wasn't exactly, he wasn't prepared for what he went through and the loneliness, you know.
00:11:16So I think that probably tested his character as much as anything.
00:11:19You know, not a lot of people can come back from something like that.
00:11:22I could see he was hurt by it because it was the shock.
00:11:25You know, you don't sign for a football club and then get terrorised.
00:11:28You know, it's just, it just doesn't happen.
00:11:30Stayed there the year.
00:11:31We got to equivalent to the FA Cup, Lithuanian Cup, scored the winner.
00:11:37Like it was the first time like I experienced celebrity.
00:11:41I remember opening up an Adidas store.
00:11:43Didn't pay in cinema.
00:11:44Didn't pay at restaurants.
00:11:45Met the mayor of Clypador.
00:11:47Listen, I'll get the game twisted.
00:11:49I was, there was still racist.
00:11:51I was still getting racist abuse from the away fans.
00:11:53But my fans started to take to me.
00:11:55I remember going back to Lithuania a year later and I was amazed.
00:11:59Everyone loved him.
00:12:01This boy ran up to him, asking for his signature.
00:12:03In a space of a year, he had changed everyone's opinion.
00:12:08And for me, that was always my brother.
00:12:11He always had that ability.
00:12:13A lot of people were scared of the things they didn't know.
00:12:16Listen, don't allow nobody to change who you are.
00:12:20It was time for me to leave.
00:12:21And the club I went from, from there was Barrytown.
00:12:25I had to try and get back.
00:12:27I'd done two years in Lithuania.
00:12:29Went to Barrytown, then Barrytown folded.
00:12:31So again, it was the start of my process.
00:12:33It was the start of my journey.
00:12:35And one thing, listen, as I'm old enough now, I can hit that.
00:12:39I knew I was always resilient.
00:12:41I knew what my end goal was.
00:12:43And Barrytown was the process.
00:12:45That got, went into administration and I had to start again.
00:12:48Boston for a month.
00:12:50Leyton Orient for a month.
00:12:52Rushton Diamonds for three months.
00:12:54And it was, and at these times you could go from as many clubs.
00:12:58See, that's all changed now, innit?
00:13:00So I always say this because I get this tag, this journey, man.
00:13:03But y'all couldn't, you couldn't do this now.
00:13:05But I went from club to club to club.
00:13:07And again, it just, it was rejection, rejection.
00:13:09And I always say this story in the sense where, don't feel sorry for me.
00:13:12It's not, I don't want people to feel sorry for me when I'm telling this story.
00:13:15It was just part of my journey.
00:13:17And then Doncaster.
00:13:18And I think Doncaster was the time where it was like, aye, like B's arrived.
00:13:22So in all honesty, I don't even know how my brother does it.
00:13:24Like he would get up, be on the bike, then he would go to training.
00:13:28Like he makes sure he does the bike before he goes training.
00:13:30And then I might wake up and see him on Snapchat and we're competitive.
00:13:34So that makes me get up and go to the gym.
00:13:36So then he's a father of five, I'm a father of two.
00:13:39So it's like, it's constant.
00:13:41But even when I see his routine, it's just, it's relentless.
00:13:44It's constant.
00:13:45He goes in, he goes in, he goes in.
00:13:47Look, I always knew my brother was going to be where he's at now.
00:13:51Like no one, I was just waiting for the world to catch up.
00:13:54Like my brothers, I've always seen my brothers being that, that person.
00:13:59So of course there was confidence there.
00:14:01And I remember my first training session, one of the strikers there.
00:14:05And listen, I was cocky and I was like, listen, I've come to take your position.
00:14:09And I'll always say, I learned a lot at Donny.
00:14:12When in there, I think I scored four goals in eight games.
00:14:16We got promoted.
00:14:19We had a parade in the town hall.
00:14:22Me and the fans, we got on Wicked.
00:14:24And then come the end of the season, I remember the manager pulled me in his office.
00:14:28And he was like, listen, we're not going to offer you a contract.
00:14:31I'd expected to get a contract.
00:14:32So I'd done well.
00:14:33And, but then of course, throughout the summer,
00:14:36Torky had come in for me.
00:14:37So Torky also got promoted from League Two.
00:14:40And I'd sat down with Leroy Rosinha.
00:14:42And when we sat down, Leroy Rosinha said, listen, I'd never worked under a black manager before.
00:14:47So he was a black manager.
00:14:49And he was like, look, B, I know you're trying to get back to London.
00:14:52And I'll help you get back to London.
00:14:54So, you know, he's a striker, like I was a striker.
00:14:56He had gone through racial abuse, like I'd gone through racial abuse.
00:14:59So I was like, yeah, yeah, this is going to work.
00:15:02I scored my goals for Torky, enjoyed my time.
00:15:05And then I got my move to Swansea.
00:15:08There was a part of his career where he broke his leg.
00:15:11And I remember him walking out of Swansea without a contract.
00:15:15And this was around the time that he was having his first child.
00:15:18When I broke my leg, it was the first big injury that I had had.
00:15:24And I remember the doctor saying, boy, you may not kind of come back from this.
00:15:31And I remember the surgeon came in, the surgeon said, listen, you're out.
00:15:34You're out for six months. Boom.
00:15:36And it was at a stage where it's stupid for me.
00:15:42I look back, it's only regret I got in, in my footballing career.
00:15:46I've rejected a contract that was offered for me while injured.
00:15:50And I wasn't affiliated to a club.
00:15:53And I had my daughter and I was broke.
00:15:57And it was the most scariest time in my life.
00:16:00Hands down, nothing comes close to that period.
00:16:02Breaking your leg in football, like, that's a massive obstacle.
00:16:05It's your legs, it's your bread and butter, it's what you use.
00:16:08Like, there was a setback of a year, you know, so we had to do rehab.
00:16:12So I can just imagine going through that and overcoming it.
00:16:16It was hard for him and it was hard for the whole family.
00:16:18I'd never experienced fear like that.
00:16:21And anybody who's a parent will understand this in the sense where,
00:16:24see, when you're, when you cater for yourself, it's cool.
00:16:26If I wanted to go hungry, I can go hungry.
00:16:28But to ever think that my daughter could go hungry.
00:16:31So I went to affiliate to her club.
00:16:33I'd burnt through my savings within four months.
00:16:36I'd still had to pay for my mortgages and I'd gone broke.
00:16:40That was a point where I'd gone broke.
00:16:42I remember I was trying to get loans.
00:16:45And that fear of not being able to support my child or my family,
00:16:53for me resonates still to this day.
00:16:55I keep saying, like, not scoring goals, not being known.
00:16:59For me, that's, it is what it is.
00:17:01I think as a father, my greatest fear on this planet is not to be able to provide for my five kids.
00:17:06It still, listen, it still scares me now.
00:17:08I guess that's the reason why I played to the age of 40.
00:17:11I was doing my rehab and I wasn't affiliated to her club.
00:17:13So it got to a point, I had my daughter.
00:17:15So I got to a point where, listen, I had to get a paycheck.
00:17:18So then the former manager at Swansea got the Millwall job and he took me there.
00:17:23And I'd been out for eight months.
00:17:25And I always say that Millwall was the place where I wasn't able to show what I was about
00:17:30just because I was, I was just coming back from injury.
00:17:33And then Millwall, I went to, there was two options after I got released from Millwall.
00:17:38It was Cheltenham or Northampton.
00:17:40And it's crazy because I only picked Northampton because it was closest to me.
00:17:44But it was the best decision that I could have made.
00:17:47I enjoyed my time, scored crazy goals, had an affiliation and relation with the fans that was surreal.
00:17:54Swansea was no joke.
00:17:55I'll always say that it was real.
00:17:56It was a step up.
00:17:57And when I mean a step up in everything, I'm talking about the facilities.
00:18:01I remember I went round and I saw the stadium, the Liberty Stadium, the step up, the training.
00:18:07And it's crazy.
00:18:08I got to training a little bit late for pre-season.
00:18:10And I remember how quick it was and how technically good everybody was.
00:18:15So I remember one time thinking, ooh, they may be thinking, what have they signed here?
00:18:23So I keep saying my only regret is the rehab I did.
00:18:26I did it sporadically.
00:18:27So I was going from club to club because I was trying to get back into the game.
00:18:31And it's funny because people see me now and think I walk with a little bow, a little swagger.
00:18:35It's because my rehab is different and my right leg is shorter than my left leg.
00:18:40So after leaving Northampton, I went to Gillingham, went back to Northampton and then Wimbledon.
00:18:45So I think Wimbledon was when people really started to know my name in the sense where we played Liverpool, scored against Liverpool.
00:18:54I always say, listen, if you can't play for the team, you support the next best figures to line up against them and then score.
00:18:59Met Stevie G, got Stevie D's shirt.
00:19:02And then at the playoff final at Wimbledon, which there were some iconic memories from there, managed to score at Wembley.
00:19:10So yeah, good times, great memories.
00:19:12Swansea was my education and I think in all aspects, the facilities, the interactions, the standard.
00:19:41I saw the Liberty Stadium. I scored the first goal in the Liberty Stadium in front of 20,000 people, which was surreal.
00:19:46Fast forward to the playoff final that was at the Minnellian Stadium.
00:19:50And it's funny because I started on the bench.
00:19:53Six weeks on, got to the playoff final and it got to penalty shootouts.
00:19:58And it's crazy because even though I wasn't a penalty taker at the time, I was mad confident at taking it.
00:20:05And I can remember having the ball and I was whistling and that wasn't an arrogance.
00:20:09It was just to settle myself. And I take the pen and I see the ball rise over the bar.
00:20:16It was silent. I remember thinking to myself, oh shit, I just missed.
00:20:21I remember putting my shirt over my nose and I start walking back.
00:20:26So in my head I'm thinking, oh shit, I'm the one who fucked this up for everybody.
00:20:32Martinez comes down and he wasn't even in the squad and he is crying and he holds me and he goes, B, it just wasn't our time.
00:20:47And like, I well up because I was like, oh, that's how important this shit was.
00:20:54Because at this time I'm devastated. It hit me like a ton of bricks.
00:20:59The devastation of, for me, what I felt I caused.
00:21:03And it's funny because normally my brothers are always there.
00:21:08Big moments, them men are always there.
00:21:11And they wasn't there at the time.
00:21:13I remember my partner at the time was there and she was the only one that was there.
00:21:16And my brothers had, they had booked Miami.
00:21:19So as you do at Young, we booked Miami, not now and we'll get to the playoff final.
00:21:24So because they couldn't change their ticket.
00:21:26They had gone out, I think a day or a couple of days earlier.
00:21:29So they wasn't there.
00:21:30And I remember the next day, which for me was a godsend, was I was booked to go to Miami.
00:21:37So win, lose or draw, I was out of whatever the situation I was in.
00:21:42And I can remember sitting in the lounge, headphones on, hoodie, just thinking, oh man,
00:21:48I didn't want to go to Miami.
00:21:50I didn't want to crawl up and die.
00:21:52I just, I wanted to be by myself.
00:21:54I always remember this.
00:21:56So I knocked the door of the hotel and both my brothers, it seemed like they opened it
00:22:03at exactly the same time, but they're standing there.
00:22:06And when I mean them, man embraced me, like they embraced me hard.
00:22:10Like, and we're just like, B, look, it is what it is, isn't it?
00:22:15We wanted you to win.
00:22:17And I, this always stays with me.
00:22:19So my brothers goes to me, look, we acknowledge the past.
00:22:22We live for today and we plan for the future.
00:22:25So Miami will always, it will always hold like a significant place in my heart because
00:22:32it, for me, it's poignant in what, there's certain elements that's happened in life.
00:22:40I'm not going to lie to you, man.
00:22:41I'm up on business this year.
00:22:42Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:22:43I need that as my inspiration.
00:22:47I think we should take it all the way back to the beginning.
00:22:48Miami.
00:22:49Yeah, man.
00:22:50Yeah, man.
00:22:51Yeah, man.
00:22:52I'm not going to lie to you, man.
00:22:53I'm up on business this year.
00:22:54Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:22:55I'm up on business this year.
00:22:56Yeah, I know.
00:22:57I need that as my inspiration.
00:22:58I think we should take it all the way back to the beginning.
00:22:59Miami.
00:23:00Yeah, man.
00:23:01I can't afford Miami no more.
00:23:02What was it you said?
00:23:03I can't afford Miami.
00:23:04I'm a father of five.
00:23:05No way.
00:23:06Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
00:23:07Listen.
00:23:08Let's make it an anniversary.
00:23:09No, I'm just like, if we do Miami, we've got to do it slightly.
00:23:12We've done Miami best, man.
00:23:13So, like, what have we got to do different?
00:23:14Let's do it, man.
00:23:16We just, we did every year.
00:23:18Ja, das ist was ich.
00:23:19Ich mache es an anniversary.
00:23:21Wenn wir, wenn wir in Miami machen müssen,
00:23:24dann müssen wir es slightly machen.
00:23:26Wir haben Miami ganz klein.
00:23:28So, wir müssen es anders machen.
00:23:33Wir machen es, man.
00:23:35Wir machen es jedes Jahr.
00:23:38Aber es ist etwas, was wirklich
00:23:41hat das bond gemacht.
00:23:44Wir gehen jedes Jahr zusammen.
00:24:16Wir kommen.
00:24:17Es ist so wichtig,
00:24:18in der Journey.
00:24:24Ich denke, ich würde es sagen,
00:24:25in der Weise,
00:24:26dass nicht immer mit Menschen
00:24:27nur mit dir,
00:24:28sondern mit dir,
00:24:29sondern mit dir,
00:24:30mit dir,
00:24:31mit dir.
00:24:32und es geht so,
00:24:33denn das sind toll,
00:24:34es bedeutet,
00:25:27So they will forever have my back and that's what it's been.
00:25:30We've got a lot of things on the agenda here, man.
00:25:33To be honest, next year.
00:25:35I actually thought I would be a bit more apprehensive of walking away from the game,
00:25:39but I'm actually not. I'm actually, I'm blessed with it.
00:25:43Like anything, yeah, you've got to try it and then what lands is what lands
00:25:48and then that's what you ride with.
00:25:49That's my mindset, is to try as many new things when I finish
00:25:54to wake up in the morning, especially what we've gone through in the last 18 months
00:25:59is an achievement. Do you know what I'm saying?
00:26:00And you've got to stick out blessings.
00:26:02And that's why I think, and I've come full circle in,
00:26:05you can't look for validations elsewhere.
00:26:09You have to be comfortable in your own skin.
00:26:11Look, you don't have to always be the best in the room
00:26:14as long as you're the best of who you can be.
00:26:16I'm looking for that next journey, man.
00:26:17I'm saying that I'm looking forward to the next journey, but I'm home, you man.
00:26:20Oh, holy man.
00:26:21Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:26:22I'm not even trying to finish this thing.
00:26:23Yeah, because you're dead.
00:26:24I'm out of here, man.
00:26:26Dead.
00:26:27He's a driver guy.
00:26:28I think you've been working with a driver guy.
00:26:29That's the thing.
00:26:30I'll be first.
00:26:31I'll be first.
00:26:32I'll be first.
00:26:33I'll be first.
00:26:34I'll be first.
00:26:35I'll be first.
00:26:36I'll be first.
00:26:37Okay.
00:26:38Orange is mine.
00:26:39Yo.
00:26:40I got my orange.
00:26:41Man, I will try and fight my older brother for the black one,
00:26:43but I know that ain't gonna happen.
00:26:45Get the key from him.
00:26:46I'm going for the black.
00:26:48Hey, these cars ain't practical.
00:26:53They make no...
00:26:54They're not practical.
00:26:55I bought and purchased one for myself.
00:26:57Listen, why don't you start calling up Lambo and telling me...
00:27:00It busts man's knees and that.
00:27:02It's just cramped and that.
00:27:03I ain't gonna lie.
00:27:04It feels like a real gaming chair.
00:27:05Sixties stones and upwards.
00:27:06Nah, nah.
00:27:07Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:27:08You know what?
00:27:09I think maybe it'll start like a beast mode car brand.
00:27:11You know what I'm saying?
00:27:12For the big man.
00:27:13So, me, you and then we'll hit the rock.
00:27:16So, something like that.
00:27:18And send one to the rock and it's just for the big man.
00:27:20You get me?
00:27:21I look to the left.
00:27:22I look to the right.
00:27:23And I know these men are with me.
00:27:24And they've been with me from day dot.
00:27:25And where we've come from.
00:27:26It's just...
00:27:27There is nothing better.
00:27:28I honestly feel like I can take on the world when I know they're beside me.
00:27:43Like anything, you know, boys, you're gonna get into trouble.
00:27:48You know, I'll always say...
00:27:50And it's...
00:27:51I won't be as cliche to say that football saved my life.
00:27:55But football was my love.
00:27:57I was stronger, faster and better than everybody else.
00:28:00But I just put it down to...
00:28:01Because I love the game.
00:28:02And I played it so much.
00:28:04It's a beautiful thing to experience that you're going through with your loved ones.
00:28:07Whereas now, I take my boys to...
00:28:09I watch them at training and I go to their games.
00:28:11That's because I'm in a position to do that.
00:28:13Whereas my parents wasn't.
00:28:15I think my parents worked hard.
00:28:19They worked seven days a week.
00:28:22And some of the jobs that they would do, we would go with them to those jobs.
00:28:26So we saw a lot of...
00:28:28We saw how hard our parents worked to provide for us.
00:28:32My mum was always like, look, this is you lot.
00:28:34It's you against the world.
00:28:36Like, that's how we was raised.
00:28:38See, it doesn't matter what happens in my life.
00:28:40I know my mum, my dad, my brothers and my sister have always got my back.
00:28:44I practically raised them from an early age.
00:28:47When my parents had gone to work, I had to get them ready for school.
00:28:53I remember I used to try to stop them going out to play football because I would be like, you know, read your books or something like that.
00:29:02But he was very determined.
00:29:04But I am more my mum.
00:29:06My mum's very driven.
00:29:07My mum's very stubborn.
00:29:09Me and my mum, we clash.
00:29:11Like, I'm a mummy's boy.
00:29:12There's no two ways about it.
00:29:13Like, I have to go to my mum for big decisions.
00:29:17I still, to date, need my mum's blessing.
00:29:21I always try and make my mum smile.
00:29:23I had to convince my mum to say, listen mum, I'm going to be a footballer.
00:29:26He's just like football.
00:29:27And he's made it known that, you know, that's what he wants to do.
00:29:32All the way through school, when he was in the elementary school, primary school, I was more involved in encouraging Bayao.
00:29:44But I love football, you know, and I can remember, you know, my interest in football, you know, was when I was in the team, you know, back home, you know, playing, you know, street games.
00:29:55I support him, take him to games, see his games, you know, when he was playing, you know, when he was playing the club games, you know, before he becomes a professional.
00:30:05And so, in that respect, you know, I, I, I encourage Bayao.
00:30:10Bayao?
00:30:11Yeah, but my wife is also stressing that, well, you want to play football, but you still have to be educated, you know, so as to have something to follow, you know, at the end.
00:30:20And he said, mommy, I will do it for you.
00:30:23So he went to college, from college, one year in college, they want to sign him.
00:30:28And I said, no, Bayao has to go to school.
00:30:33Because I was the only girl, so I would, I would like, be like, almost like a tomboy at that age.
00:30:39I would play football with them.
00:30:41I had faith in him.
00:30:42I had faith.
00:30:43I knew he could do it.
00:30:44The discipline, you know, we impart on the children is a combination of our tradition, the culture,
00:30:52where life.
00:30:53For me, I don't use British way.
00:30:55When they are young, I use my own tradition.
00:31:01They have to respect others.
00:31:05And I want my children to, to have more than me.
00:31:13It didn't matter that we lived in, in London, in the house, it was Nigeria, bro.
00:31:18I think it's due a trip back.
00:31:21So we're going to do it, yeah?
00:31:22Yeah.
00:31:23Let's roll.
00:31:24Let's roll back.
00:31:25The one thing which will be good is to go back to granddad's.
00:31:27100%.
00:31:28We haven't been there.
00:31:29That's one thing.
00:31:30All them thing is, I don't know how long we're going there.
00:31:33Tell mums, chat to you, that I've got a schedule.
00:31:36And if she doesn't maintain to my schedule, tell her that I've got five days.
00:31:41Bro, you going to tell her I've got five days.
00:31:43Let's roll then if you want.
00:31:44Cool, cool, cool, cool.
00:31:53I was saying and I was joking and I was like, yo, the resourcefulness of Nigerians that I've
00:31:59been, that I've seen.
00:32:00I mean, where we stayed to where we went into.
00:32:03So we stayed on the island and we went into the mainland.
00:32:06And everybody seemed like it was a hustle and bustle.
00:32:09Like it was always on to the next.
00:32:11So for me, it's going back to home.
00:32:14It's just for me strengthening that, yo, I'm taking back the hustle.
00:32:26Back at the yard.
00:32:27It's been how long?
00:32:29It's been how long?
00:32:30About 15 years, man.
00:32:3115 years.
00:32:32And our thanks to the almighty father for allowing me, enabling me to bring my children home.
00:32:40To see the burial ground of their great grandfather.
00:32:45My father and their great grandfather.
00:32:48You went across seas.
00:32:49Yeah.
00:32:50You know what I'm saying?
00:32:51Met Mumsy over here, created a beautiful family and life for us in London.
00:32:56I, at 18, left London to go to Lithuania to follow my dreams.
00:33:01Dad, when I say that, for me you're the testament, the definition of what a man should be.
00:33:08That's what you are.
00:33:09And to be able to say something to you and say, look, dad, granddad, I'm going to do something.
00:33:17And for all the trials and tribulations, you're able to now bring your kids back to see the fruition.
00:33:24To see the fruition.
00:33:25Grab the wall.
00:33:26It's got to come again.
00:33:27It's awesome.
00:33:28It's awesome.
00:33:29It's awesome.
00:33:30It's awesome.
00:33:31It's awesome.
00:33:32Yeah.
00:33:33Hey man.
00:33:34Hey man.
00:33:35Hey man.
00:33:36This is the future stars.
00:33:38The future generations.
00:33:39Hey man.
00:33:40You are in love and we will do it.
00:33:41Blessings on blessings.
00:33:42... und wir werden die Zukunft geben.
00:33:45Wir werden die Kinder so geben.
00:33:47Glückwunsch auf Glückwunsch auf Glückwunsch.
00:33:49Amen!
00:33:50Amen!
00:33:51Ja, ja.
00:33:52Ja, ja, ja.
00:33:54Arico, Arico, okay, Emo?
00:33:57Ja, ja!
00:33:59Big smiles!
00:34:01Cheers!
00:34:02Cheers!
00:34:03inputs.
00:34:12.
00:34:20Yo, Coz.
00:34:22So, looks like we're going to the Super Bowl.
00:34:25So, erm...
00:34:27I ain't gonna lie, Super Bowl in L.A., Coz!
00:34:32Yeah, yeah!
00:34:34You don't look crazy to me.
00:34:36Hey, yo, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
00:34:38L.A., here we come again.
00:34:39Nah, we got a problem, though.
00:34:40Yo, what's up?
00:34:41At the moment, we only got one ticket to the actual Super Bowl event.
00:34:45Yeah, Coz.
00:34:46What?
00:34:47Yeah, Coz.
00:34:48He said he's going to work on getting another ticket,
00:34:51but at the moment...
00:34:52He said it's peak, bruv.
00:34:54He said...
00:34:55Because they're all due to all Covid and all that stuff,
00:34:57so...
00:34:58He's like, look, they're very strict on how many tickets they're giving out.
00:35:02Nah, man.
00:35:04But...
00:35:05You know what?
00:35:06We got a few things to sort out, though, anyway.
00:35:08I'm not gonna go Super Bowl by myself.
00:35:10Nah, nah, B, man.
00:35:11It's good, man.
00:35:12It's cool.
00:35:13Am I gonna sit next to D?
00:35:14Why, man?
00:35:15To be honest, I think there's a few heads that's going out there as well
00:35:19that you're gonna know, so...
00:35:21If it only works like that, we have the one ticket,
00:35:23then...
00:35:24But you're not gonna be alone.
00:35:25There's gonna be a couple of mandem that you know anyway.
00:35:26But however, even besides that...
00:35:28Hold on, man.
00:35:29Nah, but besides that, I think...
00:35:30Hold on, hold on.
00:35:31I think...
00:35:32Yo.
00:35:33But you know what?
00:35:34I think if it's in LA, we can sort out an interview with Marshall Lynch.
00:35:40You know, the beast mode of America meets the beast mode of UK.
00:35:45I think Marshall Lynch would be a good one because I think it's beast on beast.
00:35:50But listen, I ain't trying to go there by myself.
00:35:54Yo, we'll get ourselves in there, don't watch that play.
00:35:56You know how the hockey filmers do.
00:35:57Yeah.
00:35:58Alright, then cool.
00:35:59Cause...
00:36:00I'm out.
00:36:01Later.
00:36:02I was...
00:36:03I run my brother's commercial interests.
00:36:06We've been working together for the past eight years.
00:36:08So, like, for those that know, like, I keep them on track and that.
00:36:12So, you know, if you want to get to my brother, you've got to come to me in it.
00:36:17So, that's how it goes.
00:36:19That's how the trio works.
00:36:21So, what my role is to support more on the bigger projects that we work on.
00:36:26So, when we're to Featherpin Productions and Games, I tend to get more involved in that.
00:36:31Yemi, the older brother, diplomatic, smooth talker.
00:36:36D, sweet boy, knows how to keep us all together.
00:36:42I guess the best way I can describe it, I think, Yemi gets the tools, D builds the path, and I walk it.
00:36:50So, I guess that's the best way to describe the trio.
00:36:53For me, LA, Super Bowl.
00:36:58I think the Super Bowl in LA is a match made in heaven.
00:37:02And I'm a fan of LA as well.
00:37:04So, LA is high, high up there on the list.
00:37:08And there's always a vibe.
00:37:10I love the culture in America.
00:37:11I love the opportunities in America.
00:37:14And every time, I go to America every year.
00:37:17And I think our energy's matched.
00:37:20Marshawn Lynch, as he's beast mode in the States and I'm beast mode in the UK, I think it's only right.
00:37:25You know what I'm saying?
00:37:26That we touch base and have a conversation.
00:37:29But I've seen his energy.
00:37:31And I'm sure our energy's going to click.
00:37:33What's up?
00:37:34What's going on, Brodsky?
00:37:35I can't call it.
00:37:36What is beast mode to you?
00:37:37So, man, real talk, what beast mode to me is my mentality.
00:37:41Beast mode to me is what I stand on, my morals, my values, my principles.
00:37:48Beast mode for me is shit that can't be bought.
00:37:52Beast mode to me is shit that you can't make up.
00:37:55That shit is what I live, breathe, and I live.
00:38:02Like, I don't even think it.
00:38:04I just...
00:38:05It's you.
00:38:06It's in me, not on me.
00:38:08So, you know, I don't go and turn beast mode on.
00:38:10Like, you feel it.
00:38:14Like, when you engage with me and we engage, you feel it.
00:38:18Like, damn, that's what he mean by that shit.
00:38:22Yeah, yeah.
00:38:23It was a lot going on.
00:38:25And, you know, I get to the point where, like, you know, I just, okay, we got work.
00:38:30I'm going to work.
00:38:31Okay, after work, I'm going home, and I'm being at home.
00:38:36What it started to get into was work started to come home, and it started to affect the way that I was feeling just on a personal level.
00:38:46You know, it started to be like a media frenzy just around our facilities where everything was like, oh, you know what?
00:38:56It's 6 o'clock in the morning.
00:38:57I'm coming in there for breakfast, and you got a whole goddamn camera crew just following you around.
00:39:02Like, oh, we got to document this moment.
00:39:04Like, nah, bro, I'm just getting me something to eat, and the camera's coming in.
00:39:08And I'm like, man, hey, look, you know what?
00:39:10This is beginning to be like, hey, look, y'all know I just want to play football, and y'all making this more about other shit than what it is, and I'm not focused on that.
00:39:21So if we can't just keep it football, then, you know, I'm done with it.
00:39:27You know, my mind is right.
00:39:29You feel me?
00:39:30My spirits is right.
00:39:31So it was like, well, the only thing that I could do from here is, you know, go down, whether it's, you know, I injure myself or, you know, want to fuck my head up or something.
00:39:41Like, there's nothing that, you know, I'm chasing or I need to prove about anything.
00:39:48The energy's authentic.
00:39:50Yeah, man.
00:39:51I swear to you.
00:39:52Hey, hey.
00:39:53You know what?
00:39:54I ain't gonna lie.
00:39:55Like, man, I was running around like, man, who is this mother running around with my name and shit?
00:39:59Two authentic individuals who care about their sport, care about the messages they put out, and we clicked.
00:40:06So energy's authentic, and he can carry my name.
00:40:09He can carry my name with pride.
00:40:11I'll give him that.
00:40:12You get me?
00:40:13I love the NFL, and I'm a massive fan because I've always said I like being the biggest on the pitch because, like, I like being the strongest.
00:40:24And when I watch them boys, they're big, and they're fast, and they're charismatic, and every time they make a tackle, they celebrate.
00:40:31And I think sport's entertaining.
00:40:33And I think the NFL is that.
00:40:36It's entertaining.
00:40:37So every time I go and watch, it's a spectacle, and I'm all about entertaining.
00:40:42So I'm a massive fan because of that.
00:40:44I would say if you get the opportunity to watch a game, go and take it in because I think the NFL does exactly what's on the tin.
00:40:51It entertains.
00:40:53It's showmanship.
00:40:55You know what I'm saying?
00:40:56It's brutal at times.
00:40:58And then they've got some celebrations.
00:41:00I wouldn't say as good as ours, you know, but they do sometimes, you know, shy it down.
00:41:04So, listen, if you've got the opportunity, 100% take it in.
00:41:07Yo, what's going on, Boohoo family?
00:41:09Yo, yo, yo.
00:41:10It's the Akinfenwa family.
00:41:11Adibua Akinfenwa.
00:41:12D Akinfenwa.
00:41:13Y Akinfenwa.
00:41:14We are here.
00:41:15Super Bowl Sunday.
00:41:16Game day.
00:41:17We're on our way down to the stadium.
00:41:19Follow us here.
00:41:24All right, yo.
00:41:25How about a guy in that here, man?
00:41:26Oh, no.
00:41:27You know that?
00:41:28No shit.
00:41:32Yo, enjoy the game, man.
00:41:34Enjoy.
00:41:35Enjoy, man.
00:41:36Yeah, man.
00:41:37The Lone Ranger comes back, you know.
00:41:38No, it was a vibe to me.
00:41:39And the game was dope as well.
00:41:40But to me, for the halftime show, Bov, oi, oi.
00:41:42Dre.
00:41:43The energy is the GOAT.
00:41:44Dre's the GOAT, you know.
00:41:45All right, no, it was dope.
00:41:46All right, buddy, let's go home, though, because it's going to get bare traffic.
00:42:06So I just met Drew McIntyre, big boy.
00:42:21Kind of like six foot four and that.
00:42:23I ain't gonna lie.
00:42:24The first thing he said, he said, you know what, man's got the frame for it.
00:42:26But no, he was a cool guy.
00:42:27I asked him about, you know what I'm saying, how our sports mirror up.
00:42:32And he just said, you know what, it's tough, but it's worth it.
00:42:36Listen, I'm a strong believer that I think anything worth having, you know what I'm saying, is worth putting in the hours.
00:42:43Hey.
00:42:44Oh.
00:42:45Okay.
00:42:46Okay.
00:42:47I see that.
00:42:48What is this happening right now?
00:42:49Oh, wait.
00:42:50Am I looking, I mean, I'm not, I wasn't, I didn't come here looking for a new tag team.
00:42:53I'm just saying, oi.
00:42:55But if it happened.
00:42:56I'm just saying, because look, technically, I think I'm kind of being unemployed in about two and a half weeks.
00:43:02So, mmm.
00:43:03And then just that vibe.
00:43:05I think energy's there, you know what I'm saying, not to be seen, not to be heard, but to be felt.
00:43:10Yeah.
00:43:11And I think that's what sport's about.
00:43:13There's certain things where you just feel.
00:43:15Could I add another member to Mustache Mountain?
00:43:18Oh.
00:43:19Yeah, let's do it.
00:43:20Oh.
00:43:21Nice.
00:43:22Nice.
00:43:23Okay.
00:43:24Nice.
00:43:25We got this.
00:43:26Woo.
00:43:27Haha.
00:43:32This is where a lot of our agents and backroom staff, so the PAs for the players, personal assistants,
00:43:40that will organise everything from their boots, their holidays, their concert tickets,
00:43:47or whatever they want to do, we'll take care of that.
00:43:50Every player here gets a PA.
00:43:52We've got 950 players.
00:43:54As a company worldwide, the company had represented players like David Beckham, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard.
00:44:00Steven Gerrard's still a client here today.
00:44:02Well, I'm up 6.30 tomorrow as well.
00:44:07Such a long day.
00:44:09He re-signed for a football club, Northampton town, years ago.
00:44:12He'd been there, been a star, he'd come away, and we were talking to him about coming back.
00:44:19And I said to him, look, when we go back here and we meet the chairman and everybody,
00:44:23just act cool.
00:44:25Just act as if you're not sure whether this is for you or not.
00:44:28Let them sell it to you.
00:44:30The chairman made an offer, slightly low-balling him.
00:44:33His words, because you can allow Baio to do some talking for you, I'm negotiating, but
00:44:39it's good to have him around.
00:44:41He turns around and says, I cannot take that chicken feed home to the wife.
00:44:45Chairman leaves the room, comes back with a different offer.
00:44:49Baio's like, D, what do you think?
00:44:51I'm like, that looks good.
00:44:52He's like, cool.
00:44:53Chairman, who he calls C, not chairman.
00:44:56C, come here.
00:44:58Cuddle, we're blessed.
00:44:59We're gone.
00:45:00High fives to everybody on the way out.
00:45:02Dean is my agent.
00:45:04More than my agent.
00:45:06Dean is, he's a friend.
00:45:08But no one has on the tin, he's my football agent.
00:45:12He's a yes from my agent.
00:45:14Yay!
00:45:15My good friend.
00:45:16Are you good?
00:45:17Yeah, I'm good.
00:45:18My lady.
00:45:20Been together a long time.
00:45:22Bit of an odd couple.
00:45:23He's my friend.
00:45:28He's my friend and I'm proud of him.
00:45:30You know, as I would be any friend achieving things that others can't achieve.
00:45:35He is my friend, first and foremost.
00:45:37And he's had my back in negotiations before, which is rare.
00:45:41So, maybe when someone, football clubs are trying to cut me out of the deal, he said,
00:45:46no, no, no, D's my guy.
00:45:48Brings me back in.
00:45:50You good?
00:45:51What's up, buddy?
00:45:52You good?
00:45:53You are.
00:45:54Yeah, man.
00:45:55You are busy.
00:45:56You put this together, man.
00:45:57Me?
00:45:58Nah, not me.
00:45:59We did our team photos today and it was like, that's my last team photo that I'm going
00:46:04to do.
00:46:05What is my proudest moment when it came to football?
00:46:08And my proudest moment is me achieving it because I said I would.
00:46:13That's it.
00:46:14Because I said, you know what, I'm going to play ball.
00:46:17Proudest moment.
00:46:18And then everything up there is subheadings.
00:46:19Yeah, yeah, getting a championship and then scoring these goals and that.
00:46:23Subheadings.
00:46:24But the proudest moment was when it was like, yeah, man, I was going to be a footballer
00:46:28and everybody said no.
00:46:29And then the next one is like, yo, man.
00:46:31The reason everyone loves you, the reason when you get promoted to Wickham and Jurgen Klopp
00:46:35is proactively trying to get hold of you via the biggest players in his team is because
00:46:41you resonate with them because you're approachable and you've got an aura.
00:46:45Football's very institutionalised.
00:46:47Very.
00:46:48Like, everything's done for us.
00:46:51And when we come out of that box, that bubble, we've got to start again.
00:46:56So, this is the agenda, right?
00:46:57Yeah.
00:46:58We have a meeting about what you need to do, your ideas, Delhi's ideas, just about what
00:47:03you're going to bring to the party.
00:47:07Then I've been a couple of fighters in to talk to them about what emceeing means.
00:47:15Yeah.
00:47:16Ask them whatever you need to ask them.
00:47:18And then I think you should have a little go at it.
00:47:24Have a go at what?
00:47:26Yeah.
00:47:27Yeah.
00:47:28Yeah.
00:47:29Yeah.
00:47:30Yeah.
00:47:31Yeah.
00:47:32Yeah.
00:47:33Yeah.
00:47:34Yeah.
00:47:35Yeah.
00:47:36All right, here we go.
00:47:37Listen, this is how I would introduce if you were walking into the arena, all right?
00:47:42All right.
00:47:43So, I'm introducing St. George Groves, former WBA super middleweight champion of the world.
00:47:5332 fights, BAM!
00:47:5628 wins, BAM!
00:47:5820 KO's, meaning he put them to sleep.
00:48:03Welcome, St. Gigi, Gigi.
00:48:11That was pretty good.
00:48:12That's pretty good.
00:48:13You want to bring something special, but you don't want to take over.
00:48:16Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48:17You want to be entertaining.
00:48:18Because the fighters, what they want is they want that strap line at the end, because then
00:48:21they know that's when they go, right, it's fight time now.
00:48:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:48:25Because that's what people don't realise.
00:48:26It's like, I warm up in the changing room.
00:48:28It might be 50 minutes before you do your ring walk, get in the ring, do this thing, touch
00:48:33glass, referee checks you, national anthem, national anthem, introduction, introduction,
00:48:37fight, you know?
00:48:39So you've got to try and simmer over.
00:48:41Yeah, yeah.
00:48:42At some point, you're going to go, right, show time.
00:48:44I call it, man.
00:48:45Brother.
00:48:46Thank you, man.
00:48:47I wouldn't want to do it.
00:48:48Shit.
00:48:49I wish you would.
00:48:50I know, I wouldn't want to do it, you know?
00:48:53I'd love to be able to do it, but I can't.
00:48:57Yes.
00:48:58All right.
00:48:59Here we go, here we go, here we go.
00:49:01We've got Chris Eubank Jr.
00:49:05Fighting out of Brighton, East Sussex.
00:49:09Hold on.
00:49:1032 fights.
00:49:1230 wins.
00:49:1422 KOs, meaning he put people to sleep.
00:49:18Ooh.
00:49:19Ooh.
00:49:20Man's got the sauce.
00:49:23Man's got the sauce out here.
00:49:25I like that.
00:49:26I like that.
00:49:27Judging off of that, you know, yeah, you've got your own style.
00:49:30Yeah, yeah.
00:49:31I like that.
00:49:32That's a new thing.
00:49:33Chatting to girls, innit?
00:49:34And to be fair, honestly, I didn't realise the magnitude that went into talking.
00:49:40When you hear that introduction as a fighter, it actually lifts you.
00:49:45Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:49:46So someone who has nothing to do with the fight itself, who's not a part of your team,
00:49:50is actually having an emotional or spiritual effect on the fighters.
00:49:54Because, you know, they've grown up watching these guys introduce all these other fighters,
00:50:00their heroes and stuff like that.
00:50:01Wow, he's doing it for me.
00:50:02Yeah, yeah.
00:50:03And I really want to be able to have boxers not feel like I'm disrespecting their sport.
00:50:09It can't be funny.
00:50:10Yeah.
00:50:11I don't think it can.
00:50:12I mean, and you may be able to find some niche.
00:50:14I don't know if you could do it, but it's a fight.
00:50:17It will get to the point where if you do it well enough and often enough, you will get an entire crowd saying it with you.
00:50:25Yeah.
00:50:26That's when you know you've done it.
00:50:27That's when you've done it.
00:50:28You know, that's going to be tough.
00:50:29Well, one other pressure on you, and that is the fact that there isn't really any black MCs out there.
00:50:37They said there wasn't even no man from the UK that really do it.
00:50:39Yeah.
00:50:40Yeah.
00:50:41I haven't seen any black guys introducing fighters in big shows.
00:50:47I've never seen that.
00:50:48So that's another thing, you know, you've got to represent.
00:50:51Man, it's that pressure, I'm doing it for the brothers, man.
00:50:53You've got to represent, man.
00:50:54Come on now, I'm doing it for the brothers, man.
00:50:56Welcome to Awesome Unboxing, my friend.
00:50:59Welcome to Awesome Unboxing.
00:51:01Hey, we've got this, uh, lecture in boxing.
00:51:03Oh, we've got this.
00:51:04Oh, we've got this.
00:51:10From down we go, we go, we go, we go!
00:51:19Alright, look, so, I see you up there.
00:51:22Yeah.
00:51:23And I'm going to try and dabble into it, you know.
00:51:24Okay, yeah.
00:51:25But school me, give me some tips.
00:51:26When you're in there, right, and that energy gets you.
00:51:28Yeah.
00:51:29You're going to be the way you are anyway.
00:51:30Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:51:31It's about connecting.
00:51:32Listen, thanks about that, because that's what I think in life.
00:51:33Yeah.
00:51:34I'm all about, I want to get in, I want to do this.
00:51:36I want to say get into this.
00:51:37Because I feel like it's a way of connecting.
00:51:39Yeah.
00:51:40And I think when you get up there and you connect with people.
00:51:41Yeah.
00:51:42See, listen, it's been nothing but love, brother.
00:51:43Keep being here, brother.
00:51:44Come on, brother.
00:51:45Bless you.
00:51:46Bless you.
00:51:47Thank you, brother.
00:51:48Bless you.
00:51:49What he said to Dean, I was like, yo, Dee,
00:51:51I don't bring you the most money football-wise.
00:51:53Like, you've got some, some, some big names.
00:51:57But you go above and beyond for me.
00:51:59And I remember he did, he'll always say stuff.
00:52:02You know what, Bea, I remember, I remember, like him,
00:52:06we'll put you in a room, Bea, and you're always going to be yourself.
00:52:11And I think that's why we've gone so well, and that's why we'll,
00:52:14that's why we'll still be in each other's lives now I've retired.
00:52:18So we're going to link the brothers, and we're going to see JJ, also known as KSI.
00:52:33So it's funny, I remember, so when's that video come out, and he was doing a segment,
00:52:39and it was Beast players, and he was like, Beast.
00:52:42In four back in February is too good.
00:52:45He makes an okay team, a beast.
00:52:48So I remember I linked up with Dee, and I remember him like, rah,
00:52:52you see how many people watch that video?
00:52:54You see how many people saying Beast?
00:52:56It's like, have we got to do something and give it back to them?
00:52:59So I remember driving back, and I remember somebody cutting me up.
00:53:04So I remember just being like, all right, cool.
00:53:07I was like, rah, I'm going to go Beast mode on this drive or something like that.
00:53:11It was a tweet like that, hashtag Beast mode on.
00:53:14That was the start.
00:53:16Literally, everything I did was Beast mode.
00:53:19And that's how Beast mode on was born, BMO was born from then.
00:53:24Oh my God.
00:53:25Oh my God.
00:53:27I'm such a, I'm such a cringe lord.
00:53:31Boom.
00:53:333.9 million and then the other one has got, what, 11 million?
00:53:37Oh my God.
00:53:43Goddamn!
00:53:46Well done guys.
00:53:47Hi.
00:53:48My brother, how you doing man?
00:53:49I'm actually good.
00:53:50How you talking to me, how you doing my brother?
00:53:52I'm good man.
00:53:53I'm busy.
00:53:55Yeah, yeah.
00:53:56Got a tour in a few weeks.
00:53:59And, yeah, just been, put my head down, working on more music.
00:54:05Training, always.
00:54:07Training, training, what are you training for?
00:54:09Uh, might be fine.
00:54:11Yeah boy!
00:54:12All right, none of them don't know.
00:54:14Let me say this, yeah.
00:54:15So, um, it must have been a couple months ago, um, I bucked you up at the NFL Tottenham game.
00:54:21Yes.
00:54:22Yeah?
00:54:23So we're just doing pictures, Dan, me, him, Trey Deeney, I think Mo was there.
00:54:27So, just all of us there.
00:54:28And I remember I went to him and I was like, oh, I see you training innit, cuz.
00:54:32So like you do when, with boxers, like anything, innit?
00:54:34You put your hands up innit?
00:54:35So I went to him and I was like, yeah, yeah.
00:54:37So he went, yeah, he put his hand up, and he dropped one, dropped two, and he was on.
00:54:42But this was just playing.
00:54:43In my head I was thinking, ooh.
00:54:45If I'm not funny, but I'm just, I can catch me, cuz.
00:54:48I'm like, no, man, them who know, know what I'm talking about.
00:54:51How is that training though? How is that boxing training?
00:54:56Oh, bro, it's tough, bro, it's tough, man.
00:54:57It's like you're drowning, and then you have to learn to survive while drowning.
00:55:01Yeah.
00:55:02Yeah.
00:55:03I'm with you, I'm with you.
00:55:04It's no easy task, and it's just weeks of it.
00:55:08Getting punched, getting dropped, getting beat up, you know, blood, sweat and tears go into it.
00:55:14To be a winner, you have to push yourself to that limit, and then figure out where your limit is,
00:55:20and then you'll be on that.
00:55:21Man, so, I don't know, if you know, I've started boxing training.
00:55:25Oh, no.
00:55:26Trust me, we all change.
00:55:27Okay.
00:55:28What, heavyweighting?
00:55:29Yeah, man.
00:55:30So, naturally, I'm competitive.
00:55:33Naturally, I'm a competitor.
00:55:35And it's so crazy where, and maybe you didn't have this cuz you didn't play ball to have something to compare it to.
00:55:42Yeah.
00:55:43So I feel like I train every day in it, like, you know what I'm saying?
00:55:45We do weights, we push ourselves through that.
00:55:47You feel like you can fight.
00:55:50Yeah.
00:55:51I think anybody feels like they're gonna fight.
00:55:53Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:55:54But there's fighting, and there's boxing.
00:55:56And that's what I clocked.
00:55:58Yeah.
00:55:59First session.
00:56:00Oh, snap.
00:56:01First session.
00:56:02Like anything, you know, you put up a pad, I'm gonna swing as hard as...
00:56:06Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:56:07First of all, you hit Rocky.
00:56:08BAM!
00:56:09You wanna hear me.
00:56:10You know what I'm saying?
00:56:11All my life, my boxer trainer cuz, I went.
00:56:14He was like, yeah, cool.
00:56:15And I went, and he just jabbed me straight.
00:56:18Yeah, yeah.
00:56:19Jabbed me straight.
00:56:20And then in your head you're thinking, alright, nah, man, look, alright, let me just ease up.
00:56:23And, Bob, literally, he bucked me up.
00:56:26Just literally.
00:56:27Like, it's the...
00:56:28Man, you sparred him?
00:56:30Yeah, Bob, I'm sparring.
00:56:31Like, me, straight off the bat.
00:56:32He likes to go in and do those things straight.
00:56:35Listen, off the bat, not saying that he was taking off my head or not.
00:56:38Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:56:39Because he was saying the same thing.
00:56:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:56:41Try and hit me, you know what I'm saying?
00:56:42Like, come on, you know what I'm saying?
00:56:43And it's literally, I think that analogy you put in the sense of, it's drowning, and at the same time trying to swim while drowning.
00:56:51Because it's literally, you're throwing a punch, a punch is coming at you.
00:56:55Mm-hmm.
00:56:56You then gotta try and dodge, just to keep your hand up.
00:56:59It's weird how life works, but like, you know, no one knows the journey or how you're gonna get there.
00:57:05But eventually, if you just keep manifesting it, you will get there.
00:57:08It's just as simple as that.
00:57:10And for me, I think I've always just done that with everything I've done.
00:57:15And I've never let anyone try to, you know, take me off that journey.
00:57:22Yeah.
00:57:23Take me off that, you know, change my mindset.
00:57:25And, you know, I feel like boxing has definitely improved my mindset.
00:57:29It's definitely matured me and just made me stronger.
00:57:33And I think before I used to be a guy where I felt like I had to shout more just to, like, pretend that.
00:57:41Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:57:42Whereas now, bro, I'm just so, like, laxed.
00:57:44I just know, like...
00:57:46Actually, come true, because I never had that problem.
00:57:49Because I was a big youth from Youngblood.
00:57:52Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:57:53Two problems.
00:57:54It's horrible.
00:57:55Actually, on the digital side, the social media side, I realised, you know, the reach.
00:58:00Then the goal I scored against Liverpool.
00:58:03I think, for me, that was the first time when the social media or the digital age hit me.
00:58:12After the game, it was trending.
00:58:14I think there were 72,000 tweets.
00:58:16I was trending.
00:58:17The next day, I got called to do the news.
00:58:20And for me, I'm a London boy.
00:58:22And I was like, what do you want me to do?
00:58:23Like, what do you want me to talk?
00:58:24Like, we lost.
00:58:25And I think that was the first time when it just seemed like people had connected.
00:58:31Hey.
00:58:33My God.
00:58:35How are you?
00:58:41Good to see you, guys.
00:58:43Good to see you.
00:58:44Nice to meet you.
00:58:45So, my name's Alexander Constantine.
00:58:46I'm the managing director of Zonda Limited.
00:58:48We're a digital media agency based in London.
00:58:50We've been working with B and his brothers now for several years on various digital projects.
00:58:55B has a very powerful persona for what we do.
00:58:58It helps.
00:58:59He's very intelligent.
00:59:00He's very charismatic.
00:59:01He's very likeable.
00:59:03He has a unique following.
00:59:05He has an appeal.
00:59:06And as we do more and more work to further develop his profile and his following,
00:59:11which we're going to be doing both online and through other projects in the real world,
00:59:15on television, we think it's going to open lots of doors for him with brand endorsements,
00:59:22with exciting projects, with entertainment projects, e-commerce projects, whether it be
00:59:28his own brands or other brands.
00:59:30There's the e-commerce website, which is selling his branded clothing.
00:59:35Really cool stuff.
00:59:36There's a game, Beast Mode Run On, which is really fun to play.
00:59:40The social media side continues to go from strength to strength.
00:59:43The more that we build that, the more opportunities we believe we can open up for him with commercial partnerships.
00:59:50We've done thousands of projects for some of the biggest companies in the world.
00:59:54B is a unique character, a unique person to work with.
00:59:57We always enjoy working with him.
00:59:59He's a close friend now.
01:00:01And we think we can do things with him that we haven't been able to do with other people.
01:00:10I'm driving up EA Sports HQ headquarters.
01:00:14They're going to award me an Ender Era card.
01:00:17Just, I guess, to celebrate my career.
01:00:22I think what people don't realise with EA is that, I think the last ten years, like, we've literally been riding together.
01:00:31Like, for every accomplishment I've made, they've acknowledged.
01:00:35And it's a real thing.
01:00:37I mean, of course, people will chat about their stats.
01:00:41But I've always said, the stat that means anything to me, that stands out to me, is my strength rating.
01:00:47Like, I work on it.
01:00:48You know, every pre-season, I'm like, that's my shit in it.
01:00:52Like, working out, slanging weights.
01:00:56And to get acknowledgement for that, to be the only one every year.
01:01:00And I said it.
01:01:01I said it about five years ago.
01:01:02I was like, I'm going to retire the strongest.
01:01:08Here he is.
01:01:09Hey, back in Femma.
01:01:11As I live and prove.
01:01:12How you doing, buddy?
01:01:13You good?
01:01:14You good?
01:01:15How are you, man?
01:01:16Good to see you.
01:01:17You good?
01:01:18Yeah, yeah.
01:01:19Good, man.
01:01:20How are you?
01:01:21Jeez.
01:01:22My people, them, you know.
01:01:23These are like my people behind my people, behind my people.
01:01:28We've got some stuff for you, yeah?
01:01:29Come on.
01:01:30He's brilliant at producing content.
01:01:31And I think all of that is really inspiring for young people.
01:01:34And that's brilliant when he's able to connect with so many of them through our platform.
01:01:38Digital Beyo is the strongest player.
01:01:39And physical Beyo is the strongest player.
01:01:41And physical Beyo is the strongest player.
01:01:44And that blurring of the lines between the two, I think it's been pretty amazing.
01:01:50We actually head scanned him.
01:01:51Typically, we wouldn't do that for EFL players.
01:01:53But Beyo's been an ambassador for us for so long.
01:01:56And the community really love him.
01:01:58So we wanted to do something really special.
01:02:00And by head scanning him, it meant that the most authentic representation of him is in the game.
01:02:05EA vibe with me.
01:02:06I ain't gonna lie.
01:02:07I think that's where our relationship just went from strength to strength.
01:02:11Do you remember this one?
01:02:12This, I think this is the, if I can remember, this is the first one that I can remember.
01:02:17This one or this one are the first two that I can remember.
01:02:22This was like when I started to catch myself and realised about the game.
01:02:26But I didn't know what, I didn't know what it was about.
01:02:29And I just remember they were saying, hey, yeah, you got a card.
01:02:31And then boom.
01:02:32Okay, I remember this.
01:02:33So this is FIFA 10?
01:02:35FIFA 10.
01:02:36You know, famton days and that.
01:02:39I'm still, so.
01:02:40Oh.
01:02:41Oh.
01:02:42You're young.
01:02:43I can't find one.
01:02:44Fine.
01:02:45Age.
01:02:46Age, bruv.
01:02:47Look at all the places.
01:02:48Cocoa butter and water, baby.
01:02:49Cocoa butter and water.
01:02:50So this is FIFA 10?
01:02:51That's FIFA 10.
01:02:52Then we got FIFA 15.
01:02:54FIFA 15.
01:02:55We should talk about this one as well.
01:02:57So this was the year that you got the strongest player award from Anthony Joshua.
01:03:03Yeah.
01:03:04I remember that.
01:03:05All right.
01:03:06Let me get to you here.
01:03:07You know what I'm saying?
01:03:08Because I'd find my own.
01:03:09Like, now this is a disrespect.
01:03:11Like, the 44 pace.
01:03:13Like, I've stayed the same.
01:03:15Like, you know what?
01:03:16If you gave me 44 now.
01:03:18I would.
01:03:19Mama give me 42.
01:03:20It gets worse though.
01:03:21It gets worse.
01:03:22Blood fire.
01:03:23Oh.
01:03:24Oh.
01:03:25So this is 21.
01:03:26But we should talk about this as well.
01:03:28Yes.
01:03:29I ain't gonna lie.
01:03:30This was a million followers on Instagram.
01:03:32Yeah.
01:03:33I ain't gonna lie.
01:03:34This is the one.
01:03:35Look.
01:03:36That should be.
01:03:37You know how we should really do it?
01:03:38We should just tell, I'm gonna tell my kids this was me.
01:03:43My whole career.
01:03:44Bam!
01:03:45We've got something for you, Baio.
01:03:47This is to celebrate the end of your career.
01:03:49What do you think of this?
01:03:51End of an era item.
01:03:53Yo.
01:03:54Yo.
01:03:55Look at that.
01:03:57Listen, the worst thing is.
01:03:58Look.
01:03:59I swear to you.
01:04:00Y'all are lucky to give me 10.
01:04:02But to acknowledge.
01:04:03I've always said my greatest achievement to date was making this a professional.
01:04:08So, to acknowledge somebody's dream as a kid.
01:04:10To be able to be a footballer.
01:04:11And then like anything as kids we play games.
01:04:13And then to know that my name's in the game.
01:04:16To know that they did the head scan in the game.
01:04:18And then to know that I've got individual items personally for what I achieved in the game.
01:04:23And then for this to summarise my whole career at the end of it.
01:04:27Like, like, like.
01:04:28Don't get twisted because I'm B-smart.
01:04:29I won't get emotional.
01:04:30Emotional for you.
01:04:31You know what I'm saying?
01:04:32But no, listen.
01:04:33From the bottom of my heart.
01:04:34Like, you lot.
01:04:35Real talk.
01:04:36It means a lot.
01:04:37And that's real bars.
01:04:38Thank you, my brother.
01:04:39Thanks for everything you've done for us.
01:04:40Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:04:41This is getting framed.
01:04:42It should have always been like this.
01:04:43I just want to show you this bit though.
01:04:44Look.
01:04:45The pace.
01:04:46Look.
01:04:47That for me.
01:04:48Anybody that watched me last on Saturday when I chased back in the corner.
01:04:52I was quicker than everybody.
01:04:54They really, they really clocked that.
01:04:57That was my pace.
01:04:58But for me.
01:04:59Bah!
01:05:00Oi!
01:05:01This is dope.
01:05:02Yo.
01:05:03Hey.
01:05:04You know what I'm saying?
01:05:05End of it here.
01:05:06No, she's dope, man.
01:05:07The way he is, is something special.
01:05:12And that's why.
01:05:13Why is your brother?
01:05:15Like, shut up.
01:05:16Like, do you know what he's done?
01:05:18Like, do you know?
01:05:19The level of work that he puts in day and night.
01:05:25You haven't seen it.
01:05:26So there's no way you're going to tell me anything that he don't deserve all the stuff that he's getting.
01:05:32Those that know me, know my daily routine, creature of habit.
01:05:38It doesn't matter actually what time I get in.
01:05:41I've got to get up and do the bike.
01:05:43It's, to be fair, my first win.
01:05:45Because I don't think there's ever been a time I've wanted to do it.
01:05:49Get up.
01:05:50Seven o'clock.
01:05:51Go downstairs.
01:05:53Put on a coffee.
01:05:54Drink the coffee.
01:05:56And wait 20 minutes to kick in.
01:05:57I've seen my brother get up at 6, 5, like in the morning.
01:06:00Get on the bike.
01:06:01Then after the bike, go to training.
01:06:03Then after training, come back.
01:06:05Fit in fatherhood.
01:06:06Then we might have a brand deal.
01:06:07So I'll call him and be like, B, we've got a brand deal.
01:06:09We'll be like, I'm there.
01:06:10And then go back on the bike.
01:06:11He's got to do training.
01:06:12And then he might have a game.
01:06:13And then he will have to inject his leg.
01:06:15Like, people don't know the behind the scenes.
01:06:17People don't know that my brother has to inject his leg before every game.
01:06:22Painkillers.
01:06:23People don't see that.
01:06:24So I've seen him go through all of that.
01:06:26I've seen it firsthand.
01:06:35For me, I've always wanted to be part of a team dynamic.
01:06:37Football's a team dynamic.
01:06:38But I think that team dynamic comes from my family dynamic.
01:06:41I've always been part of a family dynamic.
01:06:42And I've been blessed enough to know that bad things do happen or setbacks do happen.
01:06:47And I remember them being there and saying, listen, acknowledge it.
01:06:51We can't dwell on it.
01:06:53And we've got to push forward.
01:06:55I don't feel like I ever have to go through problems or situations alone.
01:06:59I think the difficulties most athletes that are part of a team will incur is they miss the team.
01:07:16They miss that bond.
01:07:17They miss that being part of something that's not just them.
01:07:26Part of something greater than them.
01:07:27They miss the camaraderie.
01:07:29They miss the dressing room.
01:07:30They miss the chat.
01:07:32They miss the banter, the laughs, the jokes, the good times, the bad times.
01:07:37That's what they miss.
01:07:38I spoke to the surgeon before when I had the operation 15 months ago now.
01:07:43He said, listen, like anything, the more force that goes through your knee, of course,
01:07:47the more pain you're going to get.
01:07:49It's got to the point now where I have to take painkillers just to get through training.
01:07:53And that's when I knew.
01:07:54I knew it was to start to be like, look, B, you always said, as long as you're enjoying it, you'll persevere.
01:08:05And it's not that I'm not enjoying football.
01:08:08I just think it got to a stage where my mind knew it was just too much.
01:08:14So when I was taking painkillers to get through training and then game day,
01:08:19just doubled the doses to get through it.
01:08:22It was severe.
01:08:23And I remember the championship season.
01:08:25There'll be times when I was in pain.
01:08:30We're talking about the knee was waking me up from sleeping.
01:08:34So I'd be on the side of the bed at like four o'clock in the morning, watching the sun come up.
01:08:38Then I was about to take painkillers.
01:08:40And it just got to a point where I was like, look, you know what, it's just too much.
01:08:44He's always been a loud voice, but not an aggressive voice.
01:08:49I remember when he got injured, he broke his leg years ago and he was on the cusp of a big move.
01:08:55And what I'll never forget is, he injured himself, had the operation on the Tuesday.
01:09:02The Wednesday in football, he's always a day off.
01:09:04As a group, during the course of the day, he went to visit him in hospital.
01:09:08That doesn't happen.
01:09:09Not on your day off in football.
01:09:11So he made a bet he could score more goals than I made clean sheets.
01:09:20And it just so happened that year that I got 23.
01:09:23I think he still managed like 18 goals.
01:09:25But because he wasn't keeping track, he didn't keep track of stuff like that.
01:09:28About seven years later, I finally got to this club and said, listen, you owe me.
01:09:34And funnily enough, I couldn't remember.
01:09:36Hey, yo.
01:09:37No.
01:09:38You still owe me for that bet.
01:09:39What bet?
01:09:40The one clean sheets goals.
01:09:43What?
01:09:44I don't know what you're talking about.
01:09:45I don't know what you're talking about.
01:09:47Stop making up stories.
01:09:50It's just like a family bond.
01:09:52It's that kind of changing room that everyone's together, looks after each other.
01:09:56Doesn't matter what age or a statue you have in the game.
01:09:59It doesn't really count in this changing room.
01:10:02It's person and personalities rather than what you're doing in the game.
01:10:06I won't mention who's the oldest.
01:10:08He's over there in the background.
01:10:09He's the eldest.
01:10:10And little brothers, big brothers and lads in the middle.
01:10:13So it's just a pleasure to be around.
01:10:14There was Bayo, myself, JJ and Darius as the four of us, essentially were the senior players in the team.
01:10:20And we ran the changing room.
01:10:21And what we said and what we implemented spread throughout the rest of the squad.
01:10:25And it becomes your culture and people say it.
01:10:27But actually it's not what you say, it's how you live your life.
01:10:29And that's how we wanted to live every day.
01:10:31And that kind of spreads throughout the team.
01:10:34You see every season we just progressed and progressed and progressed.
01:10:52And he's been a massive, massive part of the success we've had over the years.
01:10:56He's just one of those guys who always wants to look after the people around him.
01:11:00He's made me look good for years, I'm telling you now.
01:11:02A person in my position who takes set pieces and can kind of play long balls forward and things like that.
01:11:08I have to put it, I can just kick a ball up into an area and he's going to gather it.
01:11:12He's going to bring it down, bring others into place, score goals.
01:11:14I think one season he got me seven or eight assists just from doing that.
01:11:17So, you know, I love playing with him.
01:11:19He's been great.
01:11:20I'm on the final chapter, last leg of my career.
01:11:24But I just, as long as we get the win, because we can do all this and I can get the love and all that shit but then at the end if we lose it's going to be shit.
01:11:37But say nothing, we're going to win the game, so it's nothing man, I'll talk to the boys.
01:11:58Yo, yo, yo, you all good?
01:12:00When B finishes football, I just think it's going to be another project that we're going to set up.
01:12:06that we're going to sink our teeth into.
01:12:08I think it will allow B to be free.
01:12:12There's no holes, bars.
01:12:13We're just free range to do what we want to do.
01:12:15As long as we apply the same values that we were raised with and I just think, yeah, everything's achievable.
01:12:21Great at connecting with people.
01:12:23He has a shining personality.
01:12:25It's cool to see how far I can find him has come.
01:12:28And, yeah, I'm proud of him.
01:12:31I'm very, very proud of him.
01:12:32I know he's got more in the tank.
01:12:34I know he's got more things to do and I'm excited for his future.
01:12:39He's such a lovable person, such a big character.
01:12:41And the best thing about B is what you see on camera and what you see outside of the,
01:12:45it's just exactly how he is off camera.
01:12:47That's him.
01:12:48I see Baal happiest when he's with his kids.
01:12:51And he brings like this, I don't know, different side of him.
01:12:55It's a very fun and interesting experience being a kid friend with his daughter.
01:13:01He is, he's a lot similar to how people see him on TV, but he does have like a soft kind and caring side.
01:13:09One thing about my dad is that he has a very good work ethic.
01:13:13He will wake up really early when I'm supposed to go to school and do the bike.
01:13:17He'll tell me about how he's tired and he has so much work to do, yet he'll still do it.
01:13:22And also, it actually motivates me.
01:13:25The match was great.
01:13:31But I think just like the atmosphere of being in Wickham, I think it's always like that.
01:13:34But especially on that day, it was especially good.
01:13:38The people always have such nice things to say.
01:13:40And it's like a big family, a community.
01:13:42And you always feel the love when you're there.
01:13:46Seeing him with his children, they love him, adore him.
01:13:49They're the sweetest children as well.
01:13:52So well-mannered, fun, intelligent.
01:13:55People genuinely like, have like a connection to him.
01:13:58Even people who haven't met him.
01:14:00So sometimes when I see that, I'm just like, oh Rah, like, it's real.
01:14:03Like, he actually, he does do stuff like that.
01:14:06So yeah.
01:14:07No, I enjoyed that.
01:14:08Like, I always enjoyed that.
01:14:10I felt loved.
01:14:11I felt loved, I can't lie.
01:14:12Because everyone was standing up, they were clapping.
01:14:14Like, we had a good game and we won, so the energy was high.
01:14:17And like, I just felt that.
01:14:18I was just smiling, I was laughing and drinking.
01:14:20Like, it was very fun.
01:14:22And to like, celebrate with the fans.
01:14:23The fans are really cool people.
01:14:24I've met some of them while I was there.
01:14:26And to like, do that with them.
01:14:28Especially because I'm not even on the pitch.
01:14:29Like, a lot of them I don't even think know my name.
01:14:31But the fact that they was able to like, show that.
01:14:34It made me feel good.
01:14:35Like, it was a good day.
01:14:36Football has always been his passion.
01:14:41He loves playing football.
01:14:43But I feel he knows it's time.
01:14:46And I feel like he is looking forward to his next challenge.
01:14:50And I think he's going to embrace it.
01:14:52Football's always given me a safety net.
01:14:54Listen, I know I've been blessed.
01:14:57I've been blessed enough to play this game for 20 years.
01:14:59It's allowed me to do every and anything that I've kind of wanted to do.
01:15:02And I'll always come back to saying that no matter what,
01:15:05I try and count blessings and not problems.
01:15:08Man, it's coming to an end, man.
01:15:11You know what?
01:15:13I'm actually, I'm actually okay with it.
01:15:16Different emotions, but I'm okay with it.
01:15:19I'm okay with it.
01:15:20I'm okay with it.
01:15:21I'm okay with it.
01:15:26Here you go, here you go.
01:15:27Yay!
01:15:29Good luck.
01:15:34That's the last game.
01:15:37Oh.
01:15:49Good luck.
01:15:54I'm ready for the next stage.
01:15:56I'll give football.
01:15:58I'll give football me.
01:16:03I think that's the hardest thing, but then it's also the thing which you accept
01:16:09when you know it's time.
01:16:11It's time for past as new.
01:16:13Get me?
01:16:15All the time.
01:16:16Come on.
01:16:19What a day.
01:16:23What a day.
01:16:24Oh, man.
01:16:25Oh, man.
01:16:26That was important.
01:16:27Do it.
01:16:28Yeah.
01:16:29No, man, I wanted...
01:16:31I wouldn't be playing at age 40 if it wasn't for you.
01:16:34But I wouldn't.
01:16:35I might not be managing in League One at the top end if it wasn't for you.
01:16:38Yeah, and that's what I...
01:16:39Listen, I think timings, I think stars aligned.
01:16:41We've said this, and we will go long beyond football.
01:16:46And it's mad because you were the only manager that I can be 100% honest with.
01:16:54Because I know the person I am.
01:16:56Listen, I know the energy I bring.
01:16:58But I can be 100% honest.
01:17:00Like, I'll tell you.
01:17:02For me, I can still...
01:17:04I keep sitting.
01:17:05I know.
01:17:06I was like...
01:17:07I know what you're going to say.
01:17:08I know what you're going to say.
01:17:09I was sitting there at 75 minutes.
01:17:1071 minutes.
01:17:11I swear to you, I was sitting there at 71 minutes.
01:17:14I know that.
01:17:15Yo, Gaffer, what a blow, yeah?
01:17:16Do you know that?
01:17:17Like, let me go do me.
01:17:18Do you know the person you are allows me to make those decisions to go, you know what?
01:17:22Be all be cool with this.
01:17:23Yes.
01:17:24Because all it is is the game.
01:17:25There's another one.
01:17:26Come in.
01:17:27Blooms, come.
01:17:28It's actually, you've walked in at the right time.
01:17:30Come, come.
01:17:31You've walked in at the right time.
01:17:32Come on.
01:17:33Come in.
01:17:34You're one of the best moments today.
01:17:35That was when I said raise your mum.
01:17:36Yeah.
01:17:37And you've gone there.
01:17:38Yeah.
01:17:39And I waved to your mum.
01:17:40And his mum's gone like that.
01:17:41And I'm thinking, she knows as well what we've done.
01:17:43You know?
01:17:44She knows.
01:17:45Which has been big.
01:17:46And Blooms went to me.
01:17:47Be, once you're retired, you're retired.
01:17:48Take the night in eight weeks.
01:17:50Whatever it is.
01:17:51If you get 10 minutes, 2 minutes, 20 minutes.
01:17:53Take it.
01:17:54Because in eight weeks time, you'll have no minutes.
01:17:56Period.
01:17:57I ain't going to lie.
01:17:58You know me.
01:17:59You still got that.
01:18:00At 71 minutes today, I was sitting on there thinking, brother, I'm going to dunk on both
01:18:04of them.
01:18:05Gaff, get me on there.
01:18:06I will dunk on both of these boys.
01:18:07I turned around to say, B, get ready.
01:18:09He's ready.
01:18:10For the first time.
01:18:11For the first time.
01:18:12I swear to you.
01:18:13You're ready.
01:18:14And that was it.
01:18:15Normally, I'm like, Gaff, tell me when.
01:18:18At that point, I was injured.
01:18:19And they usually take the bottoms off and slow it.
01:18:22I was itching to dunk on both of these boys.
01:18:25It's like a 17-year-old.
01:18:26Get me on the bench.
01:18:27It was a funny thing in my head.
01:18:29Do you know what, though, mate?
01:18:30Because I knew how much you put into your career.
01:18:32Yeah.
01:18:33And I could see that by missing these minutes, because I've gone through it recently, once
01:18:36it's done, it's done.
01:18:37It's done.
01:18:38And I knew that you'd miss it.
01:18:39Yeah, I needed it.
01:18:40And I wanted you to take every little moment you could.
01:18:42I swear to you, I would not have been able to accomplish what I accomplished in my career.
01:18:49So the best moments of my career has been in the last six years.
01:18:54And I kid you not, and I'll say this, Blooms, I always thought that I am what I am.
01:19:00I'm the best at being me.
01:19:02But what I learnt from being around you was, you know what, be the best you can be at
01:19:08all times.
01:19:09And I swear to you, on my life, on here, I thank the both of you, from the bottom of
01:19:14my heart.
01:19:15And this is the only, I thank you from the bottom of my heart, because I came here, and
01:19:19you know what was beautiful?
01:19:21Because we were written off.
01:19:22Because we were the underdogs.
01:19:24But you come into this club six years ago, the best signing of his time, I believe.
01:19:29The best signing of his tenure.
01:19:30I didn't sign you.
01:19:31Because you didn't sign me.
01:19:32If not, it would have been me.
01:19:33Yeah, I got you.
01:19:34It wasn't me.
01:19:35So I'll let you have this one.
01:19:36The impact you've had here, mate, cannot be overstated.
01:19:39And I mean that.
01:19:40The impact that you've had for the club as a whole, for the gaffer, for me personally,
01:19:44you say that I inspired you, but you inspired me.
01:19:47And you scored the goals that allowed me to stay in the team and to do your running for
01:19:51you.
01:19:52I was good at.
01:19:53You did what you was good at.
01:19:54And together, the stars aligned.
01:19:55And as a trio, we were able to grab this club and drive it forward.
01:19:59With Dobbo, and with JJ, and with everyone else who's played such a massive part.
01:20:03And without your signing, mate, this club would not be where it is today.
01:20:06Doing my running don't get seen.
01:20:09It don't get seen.
01:20:11Goals get seen.
01:20:12So, and this is why I say for you, Blooms, you did my running.
01:20:18You've given me moments that you don't even know.
01:20:21Where you've pulled me and you've said, Gaffer, your way.
01:20:26When I've doubted, just the tiniest bit of dark has come into my glorious light.
01:20:32And you've gone, Gaffer, do it your way.
01:20:34Believe.
01:20:35And you do what you've got to do for this team.
01:20:38You don't know how important that is sometimes to the manager.
01:20:40Because no one ever, as a management, no one ever says, well done to you.
01:20:44No one ever tells you you're doing a good thing.
01:20:46No one ever tells you the right way.
01:20:48But you say, Gaffer, believe in you.
01:20:50And you'll get it right.
01:20:51And that's been huge for me.
01:20:53That's been huge for me, you know.
01:20:54To have someone like that without ever challenging what I do.
01:20:58That's been so important to me, you know.
01:21:00And I really appreciate that.
01:21:01And I don't mind saying this on camera.
01:21:04I couldn't have done what I've done without you, without you.
01:21:08And Wick and Wanderers wouldn't have been where it is now without you two.
01:21:12So I like both of you, man.
01:21:14Brilliant.
01:21:15I like them both of you, man.
01:21:17You know.
01:21:18I like them both of you.
01:21:19I do, man.
01:21:20I like them both.
01:21:21I love you, man.
01:21:22I love you, man.
01:21:23I love you, man.
01:21:24I love you.
01:21:25I love you, man.
01:21:26You do that.
01:21:27You'll see I'm a big part of me, play with me, kill me.
01:21:31What is it?
01:21:33I love you, man.
01:21:34I love you, man.
01:21:35I love you.
01:21:36Jeez, man.
01:21:37I love you, man.
01:21:38I love you, man.
01:21:39I love you, man.
01:21:40And I remember the gaffer, when I signed, he said, I know what I'm signing.
01:21:44So, because I know what I'm signing, I'm going to give you what you need to continue
01:21:49to do what you're doing outside the pitch.
01:21:51And because he did that, I always felt obligated and obliged to be like, I'm going to try and
01:21:58give you as much as I can, if not more.
01:22:00This also was one of my favourite pitchers from that season, which was 0-0 Vumberden.
01:22:07And he must have said to me, I can take you with all my boys.
01:22:11I said, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
01:22:14You need two more and then we're about even.
01:22:16That's what I was saying to them, man.
01:22:17I love that.
01:22:18Yeah.
01:22:19But this one, you knew it was a unique team, a unique squad.
01:22:23When you see how to do something and you achieve it, it has to be the best.

01:24:36I don't say all the right things
01:24:38at all the right times,
01:24:39but I'm cool with this.
01:24:40I think it's good

01:24:44who you are,
01:24:45what you are
01:24:46to the world.
01:24:48I knew that
01:24:50I had to build something
01:24:51for when I finish.
01:24:53I didn't earn
01:24:54the big salaries in football
01:24:55to say,
01:24:56oh yeah,
01:24:57you know what,
01:24:58when I retire,
01:24:59I don't have to do anything again.
01:25:00I knew that wasn't the case.
01:25:01I knew that
01:25:02a long time ago.
01:25:03So I concentrated
01:25:04on building a brand
01:25:07or building something
01:25:08for when I retire.
01:25:10Do things to prove yourself right
01:25:11and not others wrong.
01:25:13And the source you have
01:25:15is the most powerful source

01:25:18And
01:25:19when you finish watching this,
01:25:21know,
01:25:22I did it my way.
01:25:24Your way has to be the best way.
01:25:26I guess that's it.
01:25:28And
