00:00If I know in my own electorate, people are coming out to me saying,

00:03why is there this blockade on Maritful Road about the Middle East conflict?

00:13How does that work?

00:17And the views, I have no doubt, of some of the people participating in that,

00:22they would have been encouraged and told that everyone is with them

00:27because that's the way the algorithms work.

00:29They reinforce views and they push people towards extremes,

00:32whether it be extreme left, extreme right.

00:35Something that points a direction and inevitably when you have,

00:40this is the Special Envoy's report, it's substantial.

00:44It's a substantial body of work.

00:47But it provides a real basis for going forward, which is why we welcome it.
