02:36Lorena Guillen described this area in front of the Walupe River where she has her house a restaurant and run an
02:42area where people came camping in RVs caravans she says all these areas far as you can go and beyond
02:49there were many people camping enjoying the holiday weekend in their caravans when the morning of July 4th the
02:55river began to crest she says around 1 30 in the morning they heard the screams they came rushing
03:01to help a man who was camping in the middle of the river she said that section right there was a lot
03:07larger there were campers in there and this man was coming across water waist high carrying two babies
03:14her husband on this side on dry land trying to tell the men to bring the children to them to help them
03:20that's when the big wave came and took him away the whole family perished in that incident the
03:29husband survived because he was able to hold on to a branch not far from where we are but she says
03:35that unfortunately that's not the only tragedy she witnessed that night and the screams the screams is
03:45what hunts me every time I close my eyes I hear people screaming the on the river you can see the
03:54lights of dozens of vehicles just getting washed away RVs campers everything and you can hear people
04:03honking and and when the lighting you know when you get you see some light you can see the windows of
04:10the campers with people banging against the windows she says that every time she closes her eyes she
04:20still sees those images and unfortunately is not the only tragedy she at the personal level she said one
