00:00It's amazing. I feel really lucky to get to share my life with her.

00:04Andy Samber gives rare insight into his marriage.

00:08During the July 8th podcast episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler,

00:13the two Saturday Night Live alums reflect on when Andy first met his now-wife, musician Joanna Newsome.

00:20I kind of remember, I felt like I was around during the courtship.

00:24I remember specifically one night, walking you home, we were all out at a bar,

00:29and talking about how I had just started dating her, and you were awesome about it.

00:33You were head over heels right away.

00:35I was gone.

00:36Andy and Joanna, who tied the knot in 2013, share two daughters together whose names they haven't made public.

00:42With the 46-year-old going on to reveal how becoming parents changed their marriage.

00:48Obviously having kids changes things.

00:50Yeah.

00:50Because your responsibilities shift in your sleep schedule, but obviously a million other things.

00:56But it still feels like anytime there's a pocket of time where it's just us,

01:00it still feels like we're getting away with something, like we're having a sleepover,

01:03and it's fun, and there's no one I would rather be hanging out with and chatting with.

01:07And it's amazing.

01:10I feel really lucky that I get to share my life with her.

01:13However, Andy believes one of the reasons their relationship has stayed so strong

01:17is the appreciation they have for each other's careers.

01:20I think a lot of people understood that from my perspective.

01:24I think some people at first were like, she likes that stuff that he does?

01:29But the truth is she does and did.

01:32And it's like her and her siblings are goofballs together and love comedy.

01:36Yeah.

01:36And it just, I couldn't believe my luck that that was the case.
