00:41the reverse jinx and maybe in a weird way a good luck charm not the case for the braves this year

00:4739 and 51 12 games below 500 that fork is firmly in them and it's not going anywhere drs we might

00:55take the fork and throw it in the trash along with the meat that is the atlanta braves minus

01:09last year you could blame a disappointing season for the braves on the injuries to ronald acuna jr

01:16in spencer scrider not so much this year chris sale just got placed on the 60 day il because of

01:23that fractured rib cage no doubt about it but outside of that atlanta has not had a long list

01:28or litany of injuries they just have stunk as we saw last night in california's capital

01:34exactly and it just doesn't seem to be getting any better and it's almost like they're in a holding

01:39pattern like hey can we win a couple games here to sort of give us that urge to maybe make a move

01:43or try to bolster this roster or we'll give you a few more games to decide that we're actually going

01:47to be selling at this point because you're right and chris so andrew is big but everybody deals with

01:51starting pitchers going down from time to time at this point you look at the lineup it's got good

01:55baseball players in it that just aren't performing and a 10 to 1 result they just aren't hitting here

01:59they're losing the bad baseball clubs when there's a chance that you can make that run because they

02:02did have that little mini run about a month ago it's like hey you know what the braves are back in it

02:06a couple games out of first place you know getting back to 500 that's no longer the case right now

02:11i should i can't put my finger on what's happening but understand this too here's something interesting

02:15last night you let off the game last night it was jerks and pro far it wasn't ronald acuna tweak

02:20something while lifting weights this will let you know what the season is looking like it's going to

02:29all-star game is going to be in atlanta he's going to play the all-star game he's going to be in

02:33home run derby i'm telling you right now if this guy misses a couple games this week and then shows up in

02:39that home run derby and also plays in the all-star game you'll know a lot about what's going on that

02:44locker room for the braves i'm not saying it's wrong but you tell me he misses let's just say

02:49wednesday thursday friday saturday sunday then is in the all-star game that's something to keep an eye

02:55on no doubt about it drs and ronald acuna jr is one of our five participants already named for the

03:02home run derby he will play in the all-star game he is a starter where is the all-star game oh yeah it

03:08would be in atlanta so the brave struggles this year are about to become even more front and center

04:27least 420 runs this year four of those five in the al east the only team not meeting that distinction

04:59minus 130 drs still the favorite to win the national league cy young award but zach wheeler at minus 105

05:04not far behind it'll be interesting to see how you get graded because let's just say skeins and wheeler

05:09do the exact same thing down the stretch but the phillies are playing a high leverage situation
