00:11The University of Minnesota, in 2016, in the UK, has committed to investing in the
00:20international community.
00:23It's already been seen.
00:25What is the place of India?
00:27We discussed it, this is an ongoing discussion regarding the taris and car tickets, the fair, this is an ongoing meeting.
00:44The safety aspect also has been discussed.
00:51Certainly, all members are very keen about asking about the safety matters.
00:58Are you satisfied with the reply?
01:01No, no, no. This meeting will continue again. We asked certain questions to reply. Once they replied all these questions, again we will meet.
01:14Sir, what concerns were raised by members about the Air India crash and the investigation?
01:19Certainly, certainly, they are all very much worried about their safety issues.
01:24Members are very much asked the questions on safety matters, which some of them are answered by the DGC and the offices.
01:32They want to reveal all these things for you.
01:34Sir, price side issue was also raised.
01:36Sir, you were satisfied on the DGC's reply?
01:39No, no, this is not the issue of satisfaction at the end. Every party is concerned about the safety.
01:44Okay.
01:45In that way, in that way, what they are going to do is we seek the clarification.
01:50Some of them, the answers there are given now. Some of them are told us to give it the right.
01:56How are they?
01:57We have heard about the Bougham Candidate.
01:59We have heard of the Bougham Candidate, a very important place that covers all the Bougham Candidate,

02:18which is not operating there, there is no line operating there, which is called Flexi

03:25We are studying it and we will do some mechanism.
03:30This is how it works.
03:55I am not singling out Air India but a few incidents here and there concerning some strikes.
04:20Obviously when a crash happens everything then becomes sensitive and it gets highlighted
04:27more.
04:28So I just send it out to the BGCA and they should take 50 years.
04:35And I can still tell you as a person who is knowledgeable in this subject that Indian
04:42aviation is safe.
04:43There is no need to be panicking about it.
04:47All airlines including Air India follow all safety protocols.
04:52DGCA is well equipped and does a very good job.
04:57DGCA I have also highlighted that it needs to have more people because they are facing
05:03shortage of the top level skilled people.
05:06So a lot of the retired senior people can be brought back for short tenure so that you
05:13know DGCA understaffing and at the higher level to ensure the safety standards are fully compliant
05:21to go do maybe an audit of the entire sector or all the aircraft they should do all these
05:26things at the earliest so that passenger confidence is restored.
05:30But aviation in India is definitely safe and there is no reason and I am travelling in a
05:37few days on an Air India flight myself.
05:39DGCA Sir what did the airlines say to the members concerns about the air safety particularly
05:45Air India?
05:46No, no I appreciate members as a general mood as I said people always are concerned when
05:53such a major tragedy happens and it is also imperative that they ask questions and they
06:01get you know reasonably satisfactory answers.
06:04And I did not find reason you know we are here to assist in the process of restoring confidence.
06:19We are not here to you know unnecessarily speculate about whether this is right or that is wrong.
06:25But I can tell you Indian aviation is in good hands.
06:29And on the price surge thing sir because certain price surge that happened.
06:33Pricing and all those issues were raised by members and some of the concerns are definitely
06:39very valid and especially we saw during post-Palgam or Mahakumbha or some such events.
06:46Air fare surge is very very high and it is also within the jurisdiction of the ministry
06:53and the DGCA to control predicated pricing.
06:57That is also you know we have a provision.
07:00So they should invoke it and at the time of such you know exigencies they should also call
07:08the airlines and have a you know dialogue with them and ensure that prices are maintained
07:13at reasonable levels.
07:15It is a fact that there is a demand supply mismatch on some of the days leading to higher
07:21affairs but that can be controlled with I think a little bit of dialogue between airlines
07:26and the industry.
07:27Did the airlines assure on that sir on pricing?
07:30Yes airlines are by and large also aware that if there are concerns they have to be addressed.
07:36The reasons why do I need to be informed for most of the providers to come back in Texas?
07:40Yes!
07:41And what should I do to keep saying?
07:42We are not the ones that are required to have a seat in Texas since the L구 Niel.
07:46Man, I think they also have a position where we have to go,
07:47we are not the ones that are required to come back out of Texas.
07:50We are not the ones that are required to do, to put it in Texas,
07:53we are not the ones that are required to do.
07:55So we cannot operate on council members.
07:58Is this the one.
07:59They have a position where we can help you keep out by the people's dialogue between the people
08:01and the people around the country.
