00:00Good news for travelers. The Transportation Safety Administration appears to be rolling back one of its most loathed airport security rules.

00:08For the first time in almost 20 years, passengers will no longer be required to remove their shoes at TSA checkpoints, at least at some airports.

00:17While the agency hasn't made an official announcement, travelers are already noticing the change at checkpoints around the country.

00:24Shoe removal has been mandatory for most flyers since 2006, unless you were under 12, over 75, or had TSA pre-check.

00:33But now it looks like more passengers can keep their shoes on with some caveats.

00:38According to reports, you may need to have a real ID and not require special screening.

00:44It's a step in the right direction for speed and convenience at the airport.
