Police in New South Wales are investigating what they believe is yet another targeted shooting overnight this time in Sydney’s north-west. Three people were home at the time including a three-year-old child.
00:00Under the cover of darkness, a burnt out vehicle is left smouldering on a street in Kellyville.
00:08It's believed to be linked to a nearby home which was shot up several times.
00:13There's a 36 year old male, a 36 year old female and a 3 year old child who were at the house at the time.
00:19All three were left unscathed but were woken by a noise at the front door.
00:24They went to investigate and I believe at that point in time there was a confrontation or a discussion at least at the front door before shots were fired.
00:32For neighbours, the incident is uncommon.
00:35It's very scary because normally Kellyville is a very peaceful area, there's no violence or anything.
00:44He says the family had only moved in three months ago.
00:47We live with the families with some young kids and all so we normally don't hear those sort of things in this area.
00:53But recently there have been crimes.
00:57The attack comes as police investigate whether recent conflicts centre around an internal struggle between two crime gangs.
01:05Drug dealers known as ready for war and street gang KVT.
01:10Authorities say it's still too early to say whether a similar incident at the end of last month is linked.
01:16One would argue from proximity and the actions of the offenders that there could potentially be a link
01:22and that will be a line of inquiry for us today.
01:24This sort of rampant behaviour is not only not acceptable but it won't be importantly tolerated
01:30and we will use the very best in NSW police to track them down and bring them before the courts.
01:36Police urge anyone with CCTV or information to contact them.
01:40Police need an indoor corse let people nervous authorities to attack them.
