00:00Hi there, good morning. Still some showers around this morning, but they're going to ease and fade away by the afternoon,
00:07leading to drier, brighter and increasingly warm weather during the rest of the day,
00:12and in fact as high pressure builds in during the rest of the week.
00:15Now we are likely to see some showers running into Norfolk and Suffolk during the morning and early part of the afternoon,
00:21but eventually they'll disappear, leaving behind some cloud, and there'll also be a thickening of the cloud for Northern Ireland and Western Scotland,
00:27along with a few dribs and drabs of rain, but for the vast majority, it's simply a sunny day,
00:33and with lighter winds compared with the last few days, it's going to feel much warmer,
00:37temperatures hitting 24, 25 Celsius in the south, high teens, low 20s elsewhere.
00:43Now the thicker cloud and those outbreaks rain into the northwest will drift east and south into the rest of Scotland,
00:50parts of Northern England, West Wales and the southwest overnight,
00:53but any rain tending to be light and patchy, rather drizzly across Western Scotland,
00:58whilst it stays dry and clear towards the east and the southeast,
01:02and it's a less cool night compared with the last few nights,
01:06but not quite as muggy as it's going to get this week.
01:10Towards the east and the south, plenty of sunshine to begin things on Wednesday,
01:14thicker cloud to the northwest, and it's a damp start for Western Scotland in particular,
01:19the West Highlands, for example, but the rain tending to fizzle away later in the day.
01:25One or two showers are possible for parts of Wales, for example.
01:28Exmoor could see a shower, but these will be very few and far between.
01:32With plenty of sunshine across England and Wales, temperatures will reach 25 to 27 Celsius in the warmest spots,
01:39always a little cooler towards the west and the north.
01:42But as we go through the next few days, we're going to see high pressure build from the southwest,
01:47and that's going to shove the weather fronts that are causing the cloud in the north further north,
01:53and that high pressure will bring widespread warmth by Thursday and Friday, as well as sunny skies.
02:00So this hot spell that's coming up at the end of the week won't be restricted to the south and southeast.
02:05It's going to be much more widespread.
02:07In fact, the highest temperatures may well be towards the west and the northwest this time,
02:13peaking on Friday, Saturday and into Sunday.
