Transcript
00:00to our friend from the Commonwealth of Kentucky and our chairman of the Energy
00:04and Commerce Committee, Mr. Brett Guthrie.
00:06The gentleman from Kentucky is recognized for one minute.
00:08Thank you, Mr. Speaker, and I thank the gentleman for yielding.
00:11And today I rise in support of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which includes the work
00:16of the Energy and Commerce Committee to unleash American energy, promote innovation, and protect
00:21health care for the most vulnerable Americans.
00:24We claw back wasteful and unnecessary spending.
00:27We unleash affordable and reliable American energy and support technological innovation
00:32by reauthorizing the Spectrum Auction Authority.
00:36And we secure Medicaid for those who need it most, mothers, children, seniors, and people
00:40with disabilities.
00:42Democrats continue to fearmonger and misrepresent what's in this bill, but let me be clear.
00:47House Republicans are eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse to focus Medicaid on the most vulnerable,
00:53not able-bodied adults who choose not to work.
00:56We're fighting for commonsense policies to protect America's children, pregnant women, mothers,
01:01individuals with disabilities, and low-income seniors.
01:04This bill delivers on the promises the President and Congressional Republicans made to the American
01:08people.
01:09That is why I urge my colleagues to support this legislation, and I yield back the balance of
01:14my time.
01:15Thank you so much for all of my time.
