00:00Let's head out there. Eric Fetty's on the mound versus Matthew Boyd, the left-handed pitcher.
00:04The wind is blowing in today at Wrigley. This is a 6-10 start tonight. 9.55, 9.56 on the rotation.
00:10A heavy favorite for those Cubbies, Tom, at a minus 200 price and plus, or even up to a minus 220
00:16at some outlets. The total open up at 7.5, sits at 7.5 today. Fetty versus Boyd. What are we
00:21looking at today from you? We got a touch of weather that could be an issue leading up to
00:27game time. So they may be a delay, but they should be good to go for the rest of the game.
00:30As you said, about 10, 15-mile-per-win blowing in. Eric Fetty, Donnie, a pitcher that we don't
00:36like, we don't think is going to be 14.2% strikeout rate. The league average strikeout rate this
00:42year sits about 21, 22%. So he is significantly lower than the league average. He's at a 10.3%
00:47walk rate. Okay, that's terrible. You're letting runners on base for free, and then when push
00:52comes to shove, you can't get yourself out of trouble and just punch the hitters out of the
00:55plate because you don't have a high strikeout rate. His XFIP is sitting at 518 now. Granted,
00:59he doesn't give up a ton of home runs. It's at 0.97, which ultimately is pretty good. He gets
01:04what I like to call Babbitt to death, which is batting average of balls on play. Single,
01:08double walk, single, double walk, which I think could come into play against this Cubs lineup.
01:13Even though they're known for their power in the home runs, as we've seen over the past few days,
01:16if there's wind blowing in, we just need singles and doubles to get some runs across.
01:19So when we're looking at the Cubs lineup, Michael Bush, Kyle Tucker, PCA, Suzuki,
01:26if Rich McGuire's man, Ian Hatt, Carson Kelly, Nico Horner, Dansby Swanson, you name it,
01:30we have the options that we want to score some runs. Now, Matt Boyd on the other side has been
01:34pretty darn solid this season, kind of a reclamation project after his years in Detroit. I like him
01:40overall, a lower strikeout rate pitcher, but he also does not allow walks and can induce a lot of
01:45ground balls and medium contact to kind of take the power away from the Cardinals' bats.
01:50So give me the Cubs, and surprisingly, give me some runs tonight.
