00:08Baseball on a Friday afternoon in the summer months in Wrigley.

00:22seven and a half. What happens today inside the friendly

00:25confines? Yeah, there's some home cooking as they get back

00:28to the friendly confines of Wrigley Field. But you see

00:30that number eight there for the total. You know what that

00:32means. Wind's not blowing out. It's blowing in at double

00:34digits from center field, but not all that bad. It's 11 miles

00:37an hour, 76 degrees. If we take a look at that Chicago Cubs

00:40lineup, the way to get after Kyle Gibson as a right-handed

00:43pitcher, he's got very good statistics on the season

00:45against right-handed batters, but that does change from a

00:48lefty perspective. Over the entire year, 169 lefties he's

00:51faced, a 234 iso and a weighted on base percentage of 355. That

00:55actually increases over the past 30 days up to a 288 iso

00:59power number and a weighted on base percentage of 438. So

01:02there's your trigger point here for the Cubs. Talkman leads off

01:05as a lefty, not great numbers here, but then you start to get

01:08into Cody Bellinger, 172 iso, 331 weighted on base percentage

01:12about average over his last 69 at bats against right-handed

01:15pitching. But then also maybe the best batter in the lineup

01:17which sat out yesterday, Ian Happ was a switch hitter who

01:20will bat from the left-hand side today. Get this, 64 at

01:22bats over the past month, 357 iso and a weighted on base

01:25percentage of 353. So if we're looking from a Chicago end of

01:30it, that's probably the best of it there. Jordan Witt's on the

01:32mound for the Cubs, not telling him, but some of those

01:36right-handed batters like Goldschmidt and Arenado and Wynn.

01:38By the way, Mason Wynn, the leadoff batter for the St.

01:40Louis Cardinals, a guy to keep an eye on. He's been scorching

01:43hot over the past month. So I do think, let's buck the trend

01:46here. Let's go runs even with the wind blowing in at Wrigley.
