00:00This is the biggest tax cut in the history of our country.
00:03It's a bill that has kept lawmakers working around the clock.
00:07For most Republicans, getting it passed is critical for implementing President Trump's vision of America.
00:13This bill creates the right incentives for historic economic growth,
00:18makes unprecedented investments in our military and border security,
00:22and implements the largest spending reduction in American history by twofold.

01:10which according to the Congressional Budget Office would see a boost of $12,000 for the wealthiest households
01:16and cost the poorest $1,600 a year.
01:20The bill also includes $350 billion in spending for Trump's immigration crackdown to go towards the likes of funding
01:27the U.S.-Mexico border wall, migrant detention facilities and more ICE officials.
01:33To finance this, the costs have to be recovered elsewhere.
01:37Medicaid and food assistance programs for the poor are among those facing the biggest hits.
01:42Subsidies for clean energy are also set to be rolled back
01:46in what critics have argued is a death sentence for solar and wind industries.
01:51However, the gains don't make up for the shortfall.
