Sheffield Wednesday's woes continue, and on this week's episode of All Wednesday we're joined by Alex Miller to give us the latest on preseason, the unpaid wages debacle and the situation around Danny Röhl as manager.

00:00And now we just have to play that waiting game.

00:03There's obviously varied levels of pre-season training going off.

00:09I know you've written some interesting stories on that

00:12over the last few days.

00:14Where are they at currently?

00:15What's the current status quo when it comes to pre-season?

00:20They're doing what they can, essentially.

00:25We've reported at length the situation at Middlewood Road.

00:29I think it's worth pointing out that these are much-needed works

00:32that are taking place at the club.

00:36And if you stripped away the circumstances that Wednesday are in,

00:43I think not training on them this early for the benefit of longer term,

00:49it would be seen very differently.

00:51And I can certainly see all the logic in that.

00:54This has cost a fair bit of money.

00:57The new head groundsman is a fellow that clearly knows what he's doing.

01:03And the scourge of soft tissue injuries,

01:07certainly in the time that I've been covered in the club,

01:10has been an issue.

01:11And a lot of people have spoken to us on and off the record

01:13about the differences between the two pitches

01:16and the challenges that that causes.

01:19So, look, these are much-needed works.

01:22It sounds like the weather's not helped.

01:27And the bottom line is that were Wednesday to be training on them now,

01:32it may well cause big problems

01:33and potentially destroy them down the road.

01:35So, let's see.
