All Wednesday: Protests, wages and a long old summer ahead

On this week's edition of All Wednesday we talk about Sheffield Wednesday's latest wild week - with protests, takeover talk, player wage latest, and what could be a long summer ahead. Alex Miller joins us.

00:00It's another week where, you know, we've seen, we'll get on to the protests a little bit later,

00:04but before we go on to that, I want to talk about the story that we did earlier,

00:07sort of in the last few days about an approach, an offer, whatever you want to call it,

00:14that was made to Jefffield Wednesday that has been effectively shut down,

00:19saying it was a derisory offer.

00:23What can you tell people about that, Alex?

00:25Where is the current state of play and all of that?

00:28Yeah, well, it's been knocked back and, you know, I get the strong impression

00:34that perhaps it won't be revisited in a hurry, I would say.

00:39I mean, the story came about and in the process of verifying it,

00:45you sort of asked the club for a comment, which they returned

00:48and made certain suggestions on who might be involved.

00:53all roads sort of linked to Adam Shaw there, who didn't confirm or deny in our approach for comment.

01:02So, look, Mr Chancellor has been clear in some regard, and I think that there are other,

01:12well, a lot of other areas that need an awful lot of clarity in terms of, you know,

01:17how any approach must be made for him to consider it.

01:20But in terms of only signing to the right person, and I think the, you know,

01:25reading between the lines, you know, without squinting too much of that statement,

01:29it's quite clear that the people involved in that bid were not ones that perhaps he wanted to entertain.

01:37And the description of the bid was derisory, that was the word used.

01:42So.
