00:00Gareth Davies, don't go all waffly on us at this point in the interview.
00:05The legislation was very clear. It was changing the point system.
00:09It meant that somebody who could not wash below the waist and use the toilet
00:14would no longer get personal independence payments
00:18because they wouldn't get enough points in one category.
00:21That was very clear. That's what you supported.
00:24And that's what's now been removed by Labour, something that you regret.
00:28So for somebody in that situation, with those pit points,
00:33they would be losing personal independence payments if you were in power.
00:37That's what you've told us today is your commitment.
00:40I'm sorry, Ed.
00:42I think it's important for you to be clear.
00:44It isn't waffle. It is about reform.
00:47What you're talking about is cutting and slashing spending,
00:51and that's what Labour were desperate to do
00:52because they found themselves in this unsustainable financial position.
00:56What I'm talking about is reforming the system.
00:58You said that you supported the reforms.
01:01In fact, Kemi Bainock wanted the government to go further,
01:04and you've regretted them removing those reforms, which will cost money.
01:09So I'm saying to you, that means that you are going to continue
01:13to support those reforms, which has those implications for people
01:17who are currently getting pipped.
01:19They would lose it.
01:20You can't now say, oh, you know, reform, waffle,
01:23I don't want to answer the question.
