Paschim Medinipur (West Bengal), July 2, 2025 (ANI): On the alleged gang rape incident in Kolkata, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh said, "The facts are still not coming out, and TMC is trying to suppress them. The student leaders of TMC are the ones who are guilty. They have been in law college for 10-11 years. Even after passing out, they are leaders there... It is the responsibility of the fact-finding committee to bring the incident to the fore. The country wants to know how such an incident took place... The culprit should also be punished... Mamata Banerjee and her party are still trying to protect the accused... People are scared that the govt is trying to save the main culprit. Maybe they will save him, and someone else will be punished. This should not happen; this is very shameful..."A female student inside South Calcutta Law College on June 25 was allegedly gangraped. The main accused in the case, Manojit Mishra, has been taken into custody along with three others. The SIT continues to probe the matter.
