00:00Qantas has revealed that up to 6 million customers may have had their personal information exposed in a large-scale cyber attack.
00:09The breach was traced to a third-party customer service platform used by one of the airline's contact centres,
00:16with names, emails, phone numbers, birthdates and frequent flyer numbers potentially accessed.
00:23The airline said the system has since been secured and that no financial details, passports or login credentials were compromised.
00:33Our customers trust us with their personal information and we take that responsibility seriously.
00:39We are working closely with the federal government's National Cybersecurity Coordinator,
00:44the Australian Cybersecurity Centre and independent specialised cybersecurity experts.
