00:00of course the buck signed miles turner four years 107 million dollars uh in the process they waived
00:07damian lillard uh they'll stretch the 113 million remaining over the next five years so that 22
00:13million per year will count against the bucks cap uh for the next five years lillard will get all
00:20that money but he is going to be free to sign wherever he pleases uh of course he's going to
00:26be rehabbing from the torn achilles uh we'll see what happens the one thing i did see with right he
00:32gets 20 he gets 22 million uh for the next five years no matter what and he can go get a new deal
00:40now the one advantage he has now he can join a winner on a vet minimum or something like that
00:47because he knows he's getting that 22 mil uh coming his way so it's a it like you say it is kind of a
00:53sneaky good thing for damn time who would like to maybe add a championship to his uh career before
00:59it all comes down so he might have a chance uh to do that listen over these next let me just say this
01:05too on the other note all right fair enough on the deal for turner i think at the end of the day it's
01:12not the worst deal i've ever seen that they only have to give him 107 million dollars i mean look at
01:17the market look at what guys are making i said it before shea gilge is 285 this guy gets four years
01:24and 107 so that to me is like going out to mcdonald's for dinner like that's just a a better deal for
01:32them and he'll you know the guy can shoot i'll give him that he can shoot the rock and i mean he's like
01:41you know i said before he doesn't do a lot for me in the eastern conference finals or the nba finals i
01:46thought he disappeared but in in general terms he can shoot the rock he's big he's tall he can rebound
01:54etc he's not the worst player i've ever seen don't get me a lot of guys that are hacks in the nba he's
02:00not a hack so i think for the cost it's effective for them uh and efficient for them that's a good deal
02:08because they got to pay this other guy all this money it's almost like if you really look at it
02:1422 million a year and change plus the 107 is essentially like paying shea gilge's 285 to pay
02:22this guy off and to pay that guy that's basically what they're paying it's it's around the same
02:27amount of money right uh and i did see um the reports which said miles turner did not want to
02:35leave indiana he went they went for him and his agent went back to indiana several times they wanted
02:40to stay with the pacers and the pacers i guess refused to go to that second apron uh on the
02:47salary cap i know that's a lot of salary cap mumbo jumbo talk but the pacers even after an nba finals
02:53run where they went to the seventh game they did not want to uh spend up to that level uh to keep
02:59turner so they let what does that tell you it tells me that they grew leery of his productivity
03:08they the guy disappeared when it mattered most tj mcconnell played bigger than miles turner
03:17he really did he had an 18 he had a 16 he had all the steals he had all the dimes he even had rebounds
03:23he's 6-1 soaking wet here's this guy this monster doing nothing there's no way they wanted to give him
03:31that kind of money he's not worth it so they gave up on him that's exactly what happened there's no
03:38cutting any corners here they weren't going to pay him what he wanted he wanted to stay there and they
03:44didn't want him because he did the houdini in the playoffs he was the vanishing uh big he disappeared
03:53simple as that
03:54simple as that
