00:00So let's talk about the Pacers tonight at the Fieldhouse.

00:03Big game, and they looked fantastic overall, I thought, in game one.

00:08Winning, pulling away, getting it done, handling their business.

00:13Do they do the same thing tonight now that they're getting game time back?

00:18But he's not a guy that I freak out about.

00:21I think he can score.

00:22I don't think he plays defense.

00:23I think he talks a lot with his no rings.

00:26What do you think happens tonight with the Pacers?

00:28Do they go up two, or do they have a problem?

00:30Because that number is so short at four.

00:33I think they win tonight, and I think they cover tonight.

00:37I'm not too worried about this game.

00:38I'm not too worried about the Bucs.

00:40They've got Giannis, and they've really got virtually nothing else.

00:43Lillard can shoot, but he's not a great defender.

00:45You look at the other four guys that started on Saturday afternoon,

00:49and between the other four, other than Giannis, they scored a total of 14 points.

00:54That is, and Kyle Kuzma was utterly inert.

00:59They didn't defend.

01:00They didn't do anything offensively that really bothered me.

01:04I think if Halliburton and Matherin had played worth a damn for the Pacers,

01:08that the Pacers would have won that game by 40.

01:10I just don't think that this Bucs team is very good other than Giannis

01:14and Lillard shooting the basketball, and so I think the Pacers rolled tonight.

01:18Last year, they took out the Knicks, and they went on a deep run,

01:23and I think some people thought that they were lucky.

01:27I actually think they're good, and I think they're relatively deep.

01:30I think they're kind of two at every position.

01:33I think they have a bench.

01:34I think they have a coach.

01:36I think they're capable of going on another run in these Eastern playoffs

01:41where everyone else has already handed it to the Celtics,

01:44and obviously they got their ass beat by them,

01:48but I think they're capable of going on another run.

01:50Do you?

01:51I do, and that's what makes you the smartest guy in this business

01:54because you understand that it's not about stars,

01:57and the Pacers don't have stars, but what they do have,

02:00they got about nine or ten guys who are really competent NBA playoff-level

02:05basketball players, and they can go out on any given night

02:08and beat any of these teams, and really, if you look at what happened

02:11last year in the playoffs, I think the Pacers played despite the fact

02:15that they got run out of the playoffs by the Celtics,

02:20but they played the Celtics as tough as anybody else did in the playoffs.

02:24I think they can go on a run, and while they did get kissed,

02:27they played against a couple of teams with some injury issues.

02:31Giannis couldn't play, and then you had some injuries for the Knicks,

02:35but this is a really good functional basketball team

02:38that doesn't rely on one guy to get it done.

02:41It relies on five, and that's the way basketball is meant to be played.
