00:00When you saw Indy up 20 and the party was on at the Fieldhouse, I mean, Reggie was having a blast.
00:10The crowd was going crazy.
00:12I mean, they were drinking Veuve Clicquot.
00:14It was all happening.
00:15And then what did you think happened after that point with how the hell the Knicks got that done the other night on Sunday at the Fieldhouse?
00:24Well, they cut that lead.
00:26That was 20 near the half down to 13.
00:28Very manageable.
00:30And then Indiana stopped.
00:31I don't know what happened to their offense in the second half, but they got a major dose of Karl-Anthony Towns in that fourth quarter,
00:38which is the type of game that Knicks fans think they would see from Karl-Anthony Towns more than once in a blue moon, you know?
00:45But he has to be reminded constantly about what he's supposed to do.
00:48He came off an awful game in game two, and he got benched.
00:53And here he basically made up for it.
00:55And how does he do that?
00:56Not with his defense, because he's a terrible defender.
00:59You know, having him and Brunson on the floor, it's amazing, Scott.
01:02They can't play together on the floor, and they're the team's two best players because they're defensive liabilities.
01:07But when he scores like he did, and Indiana didn't put Siakam on him, I don't know what Rick Carlisle was thinking about, that was a big problem, and it led to New York basically saving their season.
01:19That was a savior season type of game.
01:21They couldn't go down 0-3 to that team, and now they're in great shape to steal another road game, which they're great at.
01:28That's the only thing the Knicks are great at, is stealing road games, winning road games, and we'll see what happens tonight.
01:33So you think, like, because a lot of people today that I've heard on national TV or otherwise have said the Knicks are going to even this up and go home for a game five at the Garden.
01:43Are you buying that, that this is some easy work tonight?
01:47No, no, no, no.
01:49This will not be.
01:49As a matter of fact, I think Indiana will come out and be a much better team for all 48 minutes, not just the first 24.
01:58I actually think Indiana will win tonight.
02:00I still think it still could be a long series because you just don't know.
02:05These teams, the playoffs are so unpredictable because what we're dealing with with the final four teams are teams that have never won.
02:13So when you have teams that have never won, they're all trying to figure out on the fly how to win, how to win big, how to win series, how to advance.
02:20Nobody knows.
02:21Nobody's won a title among these four teams, obviously.
02:24So we'll see what happens.
02:25But I do not.
02:26I think the Knicks are in good shape because they have success on the road.
02:30But, no, Indiana's going to play tremendous tonight.
02:33I expect they'll get a major dose out of, I was going to say, of Halliburton and Siakam.
02:38The big question to me is, is Rick Carlisle just, you know, doing gamesmanship with the whole Naismith injury?
02:44We'll see how he is on that ankle.
02:46He did come back the other night.
02:48He didn't play.
02:49You know, I'm not saying he's going to make six threes again in the fourth quarter like he did in that crazy game in the Garden.
02:54But he's got to be more of a factor.
02:56They, you know, they go 9-10, 11 deep.
02:59And if they all contribute like they did in New York, they'll have a 3-1 series lead.
03:05That's obvious.
03:06I can't believe, and I like McConnell, and I think he's all out.
03:12The guy plays all out in fifth gear.
03:14And I think he busts his ass playing basketball.
03:17But it is beyond me how I can sit there and watch this guy one after the next shooting layups and then little seven, eight-footers in the lane.
03:27Like, and they do nothing to stop it.
03:30Like, it is unbelievable to me what this guy is doing to the Knicks.
03:35He's a great situational player.
03:37I think the thing, too, you've got to remember, the Knicks are not a good defensive team.
03:41I mean, the thing that is amazing is that here's Tom Thibodeau, whose whole reputation is defense, toughness, you know, we're going to grind it out.
03:51We're going to outfight you.
03:53They don't play the requisite defense.
03:55I don't think that can win a title.
03:57And I think a guy like McConnell, for them, falls under the radar.
04:00They're too worried, busy, worried about other guys on Indiana than about him.
04:05But I think they've got some real weak links, the Knicks, on defense.
04:08And, you know, I've mentioned it's Brunson, it's Towns.
04:10There's some other guys.
04:11Yeah, they've got Ananobi and they've got, you know, Bridges.
04:14But, you know, this is not a defensive juggernaut by any means.
04:18So, you know, this is a defensive juggernaut.
