00:00And when they came to land, they put a makeshift cross on the sand, in the sand, and they bowed their heads in prayer, and they dedicated this new civilization to God.

00:11It would lead to the founding of Jamestown, of Williamsburg, of Virginia.

00:19Dedicated to God and for the purpose of spreading the gospel.

00:23The other one was Massachusetts Bay.

00:27And that in many ways is even more critical.

00:30Founded by the separatists, known to us as the Pilgrims, who came to the New World to found a society based on God's word and religious freedom.

00:40They sailed the ship, the Mayflower, they sealed a covenant called the Mayflower Compact.

00:45But in it, the new civilization, and in their compact, and in their founding, that they said this new civilization was to exist for God's glory.

00:55And to spread the gospel.

00:57That was 1620.

00:59Ten years later came another great move, and it's called the Puritan Exodus from Europe.

01:04The man who led it was called, his name was John Winthrop.

01:07The Puritans set out to create a people, it says in the New World, who would be, in their own words, would be religiously, peaceably, civilly governed.

01:18And their life, their life and their example would win the natives to the faith of God.

01:25On March 23rd, 1630, they set out, about a thousand of them, in ships led by John Winthrop in the ship, the Arbella.

01:33While aboard the ship, he wrote down the vision for the new civilization, that would be known as America.

01:42He said this,

01:44We are a company, professing ourselves, fellow members of Christ, Messiah, knit together by this bond of love.

01:52There stands between us, this cause between God and us.

01:56We are entered into covenant with him for this work.

01:59And he wrote,

02:01We must consider that we shall be as a city on a hill.

02:06The eyes of all peoples are upon us.

02:10A city on a hill.

02:11This is the most lasting symbol of America.

02:15Not the bald eagle, not the flag that has ever been given.

02:18From 1630 to now, it came at the foundation, was embedded at the foundation of the house called America.

02:26Where did he get it from?

02:27He got it from Messiah.

02:29So here, now think about it.

02:31The vision of America, here, came from John Winthrop, who got it from Messiah.

02:36So here you've got something radical.

02:38You have a nation that is founded on a vision that Messiah, Jesus, gave to his disciples.

02:44As if it was going to be a civilization of disciples, which was their dream.

02:49Now, of course, America falls and has sin and all those things as well.

02:53But, it's unique in that it was founded with this radical, radical vision that it would be as if it was a nation, a civilization of disciples.

03:05Imagine there'd be a land, there's a land that's founded to be a Christian utopia.

03:10Well, it already happened.

03:11It's called America.

03:11And that is why, whether it's following God and whether it's not following God, that is why it became such a unique civilization.

03:21Where did Winthrop get his word?

03:24He gave a promise to America, a charge.

03:27It was a prophetic word and a warning.

03:29Where did he get Moses?

03:30He got it from Moses.

03:32You see, Moses, he got it from the book of Deuteronomy.

03:35Moses gave a word to Israel as it was about to enter the land.

03:39That's the book of Deuteronomy.

03:40Right by the river Jordan.

03:42He says, you're going to cross the Jordan.

03:43Well, now you have another exodus from an old world.

03:47And the leader was looked on as a Moses, John Winthrop.

03:50They're about to enter the land.

03:51And John Winthrop uses the words of Moses to get given to Israel as they're going to enter the land.

03:58And he gives it for America.

04:00They're not crossing a Jordan.

04:02They're crossing the Atlantic.

04:03And so you have this.

04:05So not only was America founded to be a godly, Christian, holy civilization,

04:12but it was also founded as a new Israel.

04:15Not replacing Israel, but after the pattern of ancient Israel.

04:19At one point it was proposed that the new language be Hebrew.

04:23Imagine that.

04:24So the foundation of the house of America is without question.

04:29Dedicated to God.

04:30God dedicated to Messiah for God's purposes.

04:35That's what made it unique.

04:37Not the land.

04:38Not the economy.

04:39Not anything else.

04:41But this.

04:42And even when as America was secularized,

04:46still this affects America.

04:49Even up to modern times.

04:51Why does America have this sense of the sacredness of the individual?

04:56Because every individual is made in the image of God.

04:59From that you get equality.

05:01From that you get the freedom of conscience.

05:04That it doesn't matter what the government says.

05:05You are first made in the image of God.

05:07And that no government is above God.

05:10That's why when totalitarian ideologies rose in the world,

05:15like fascism and Nazism and communism,

05:18America was the key defense from stopping it from covering the entire world.

05:23The words and vision of John Winthrop were prophetic.

05:29He said in effect, from the Bible,

05:32if America would follow the ways of God,

05:34then the blessings of God that came on Israel would come upon America.

05:38What blessings?

05:39Peace, prosperity, security, power.

05:43So America would become the most blessed,

05:46most prosperous, most powerful nation the world had ever seen.

05:51It was all there in the words of John Winthrop prophetically

05:55in Massachusetts Bay.

05:58Now people quote from John Winthrop

06:00the vision of the city on the hill,

06:02but they rarely quote what else he said right after that.

06:07He said this.

06:08It was a prophetic warning.

06:09Also based on Moses' words in Deuteronomy 28.

06:14He said, but, but, if we turn away from God,

06:19if we deal falsely with Him,

06:21if we go after other gods,

06:23the gods of our prophets, like money,

06:26our pleasures,

06:28then in effect, he said,

06:30the judgments that came on ancient Israel

06:32would come upon America.

06:35Now interesting, and I'm not going,

06:36I'm going to speak more about this in a moment,

06:38in a few moments, but the harbinger is basically,

06:40when I was led to write that book,

06:42is seeing the same patterns,

06:43the judgments of Israel with America.

06:46But it's a prophetic warning that he gave

06:47embedded in the foundation of the nation.

06:51So what happened to ancient Israel?

06:53God blessed it,

06:55but in the midst of its blessings,

06:57it turned from God.

06:58It began subtly at first,

07:00then increasingly brazenly.

07:02It drove God out of its public squares,

07:05drove God out of its culture,

07:07drove God out of its lives.

07:09It promoted sexual immorality.

07:12What was evil, it now called good.

07:14What was good, it now called evil.

07:17It offered up its own children

07:19as sacrifices to the gods,

07:22and then began persecuting the righteous

07:24who still upheld the word of God.

07:27What happened to America?

07:29America, the same thing.

07:32We have followed the footsteps

07:33of ancient Israel in its fall.

07:37At the height of blessing,

07:38in the 20th century,

07:40we turned away from God.

07:42Slowly and subtly at first,

07:44and it's not that it's just one moment,

07:45but there are key landmarks,

07:47like removing prayer from the schools.

07:50That was once a big thing.

07:51Now it's hard for us to even imagine

07:52that teachers would lead the children

07:54in prayer to God.

07:56But then it was radical to do what they did.

08:01We drove God out of our,

08:03first subtly, then it became,

08:05now it's manifesting full force.

08:07We drove God out of our public squares,

08:09out of our government,

08:10out of our schools,

08:11out of our culture.

08:13We embraced and promoted sexual immorality,

08:17just as Israel did.

08:19What is of sin, we called good.

08:22What is of God, we have called evil.

08:26We have killed, not thousands of children,

08:28we have killed 60 million children

08:30in abortion.

08:33We now see signs of the persecution

08:36of the righteous coming,

08:38canceling, boycotting,

08:40castigating, prosecuting.

08:43You can see it evident,

08:45becoming evident in the 1960s,

08:47but it has not stopped.

08:48It has advanced,

08:50even with conservative presidents,

08:52the culture has continued.

08:53It's like a ball on top of a hill

08:57that starts rolling very slowly

08:59and then gets more and more momentum,

09:01so it's racing,

09:03and that's where we are now.

09:04America's racing.

09:05Things that would have shocked us years ago

09:08cause a flood of outrage and uproar

09:10now barely get any notice.

09:12I spoke of the prophetic warning

09:15embedded by John Winthrop

09:17in Massachusetts Bay

09:19and that he got his warning,

09:22his word, his promise and the warning

09:24from Moses from Deuteronomy,

09:27specifically from Deuteronomy 28

09:29that says if you follow God,

09:31here are the blessings.

09:32You turn away,

09:34here's what's going to happen to the nation.

09:35comes a warning.

09:38Now,

09:40now,

09:41one of the patterns

09:43of biblical judgment,

09:44national judgment,

09:45is that years before

09:47the actual judgment of the nation,

09:49there comes a shaking,

09:51a wake-up call.

09:52It comes in the form

09:53of an enemy strike

09:55that comes,

09:56shakes the land,

09:56God has called the land back

09:58and then they are given

09:59a space of years,

10:02however long,

10:03to come back to God.

10:05Now,

10:06it happened,

10:06America got its shaking

10:08on 9-11.

10:09Same pattern,

10:10same thing.

10:12Now,

10:12every Sabbath day,

10:14every,

10:14once a week,

10:15there is an appointed word

10:16in all the synagogues

10:17of the world

10:18where they open up the scrolls

10:20and there's a word

10:21appointed from ages past

10:22that is appointed

10:23for that day,

10:24that week

10:25and in America,

10:28there are many Jewish people

10:29and New York City

10:30has more Jewish people

10:31than anywhere else

10:31so all over New York City

10:32they were opening up

10:33to this

10:34because the days

10:35that were leading up

10:36to 9-11,

10:37just before 9-11,

10:39they opened up the scrolls.

10:41There was a word

10:42appointed from ancient times,

10:43from ages past

10:44to,

10:44for that time

10:45that led into 9-11.

10:47What was it?

10:48It was the word

10:49of Moses

10:50from Deuteronomy,

10:52from Deuteronomy 28.

10:55The exact,

10:56exact source

10:58that John Winthrop

10:59gave to warn America

11:00to not turn away

11:01from God.

11:03What does it say?

11:03It was appointed

11:04for the day

11:05that led into

11:06the 9-11.

11:07It tells of what happens

11:09if you turn away

11:09from God.

11:10All the blessings

11:11you had,

11:11you're going to

11:12lose them.

11:13Number one.

11:15But it says,

11:15specifically,

11:16an enemy will come

11:18from a faraway land

11:20and strike the nation

11:21in its gate.

11:23America's gate

11:24is New York City.

11:26It says,

11:26he will speak a language

11:27you don't understand.

11:30He will be

11:30of fierce countenance.

11:32He will show

11:32no compassion

11:33to the old or the young.

11:34A rain of dust

11:35will come upon you

11:36in the middle of the day.

11:36You'll grope like blind men.

11:38The enemy will strike you

11:39as an eagle

11:39flying from the sky.

11:42The Hebrew word

11:43specifically says,

11:44an eagle swooping down

11:45every single plane

11:46came like that.

11:48On 9-11,

11:49the enemy came

11:49as an eagle

11:50swooping on the land.

11:52Everyone,

11:53and on the very plane

11:55that began 9-11,

11:56it was carrying a symbol.

11:58And the symbol

11:59was an image

12:00of an eagle

12:01swooping down.

12:03The same biblical

12:04sign of judgment

12:04that came from

12:05the same scripture

12:06that was appointed

12:07to usher in 9-11

12:08and from which

12:09John Winthrop

12:10gave the warning.

12:12One more thing

12:13to share

12:14before we bring this

12:16to where we are.

12:16from the Harbinger 2,

12:21when John Winthrop

12:22spoke of the city

12:23on a hill,

12:24it wasn't just America.

12:26I mean,

12:26it was America.

12:27That was the big picture.

12:29But there was

12:29an actual city

12:30that he founded himself

12:32and then became

12:33its first governor.

12:35It was the capital

12:36of Massachusetts Bay.

12:37It was his city

12:37on a hill.

12:38It still exists

12:40to this day

12:41and it has a name.

12:42Its name is Boston.

12:45Boston.

12:46The city of

12:46John Winthrop.

12:47City on a hill.

12:49So think about it.

12:50The warning came

12:51from there.

12:51Where did 9-11 begin?

12:53Boston.

12:54The city on the hill.

12:56The planes took off

12:57from the city on the hill.

12:58The city of John Winthrop

12:59who gave the warning.

13:02But there's more.

13:02John Winthrop

13:03had his own land.

13:05It was an island.

13:05He had an island.

13:06An island off the coast

13:07of Boston.

13:08On that island

13:09he lived

13:09for parts of the year.

13:11He planted a vineyard.

13:13He prayed

13:13for the new civilization.

13:14He could see Boston

13:15and America.

13:17He would pray.

13:20John Winthrop

13:21was the first governor

13:21of Boston

13:22so the island

13:23was called

13:23Governor's Island.

13:24It was Winthrop's Island.

13:26What happened

13:27to the island

13:27of John Winthrop?

13:29In the 20th century

13:30it became an airport.

13:33Logan Airport.

13:34The very ground

13:35from which 9-11 began.

13:38They took off

13:39from the ground

13:39of John Winthrop

13:40who gave the warning

13:42don't fall away from God

13:43on the same week

13:44when the very scripture

13:46he used

13:46was being proclaimed

13:47throughout New York City.

13:49The enemy saying

13:50an enemy will come

13:51like an eagle.

13:52What happens next?

13:54In the case of ancient Israel

13:55after that first warning

13:56instead of turning back

13:58to God

13:58the nation

13:59hardened itself

14:00turned all the more

14:01away from God

14:02its apostasy accelerated.

14:03We are watching

14:04the same exact thing.

14:06Since 9-11

14:07people thought

14:08well 9-11

14:09people will come back

14:09to God

14:10well they rushed

14:10to the churches

14:11for three weeks.

14:12They rushed

14:12and said

14:13God bless America

14:14but there was

14:14no repentance

14:15no turning.

14:16If you don't turn

14:17there's no revival.

14:19And so instead of

14:20getting better

14:22we got worse.

14:24It's become now

14:25a free fall.

14:26Where does it end?

14:27It doesn't end well.

14:29The template ends

14:30with judgment

14:30with a fall

14:32of a nation.

14:33Is there hope?

14:33Yes as long

14:34as there's God

14:35there's hope.

14:36But the only hope

14:37America has

14:38is revival.

14:39And that's why

14:40we have to pray

14:41for it

14:41fervently

14:42more than ever before.

14:44Now let's take

14:45this home

14:46to America

14:47and beyond America.

14:48What does it reveal?

14:50Think about it.

14:51If a civilization

14:52that was dedicated

14:53to God

14:54to the glory

14:55of the name

14:57of Jesus

14:57to spread salvation

14:59could become

15:00what it is now

15:01at war with God

15:04at war with His word

15:06at war with His ways

15:07then we must

15:09take warning.

15:11It happened to a nation

15:12it has happened

15:13to churches

15:13it has happened

15:14to denominations

15:15that once gave glory

15:16to God

15:17now they embrace

15:18a war against God

15:20and bless it.

15:22See it's man's

15:23nature to fall.

15:24It's God's nature

15:25to rise.

15:26We have to be on guard

15:27that it never happens

15:28to us.

15:29America started out

15:30passionately for God

15:32to spread the gospel

15:33to the ends of the earth

15:34now what does it spread

15:35to the ends of the earth?

15:36By officially

15:37it spreads

15:38well both

15:39it spreads pornography

15:40to the world

15:40it spreads sexual immorality

15:42to the world

15:43it spreads the destruction

15:45of gender to the world

15:46it spreads the killing

15:47of children to the world

15:49and even nations

15:51that are saying

15:52it used to be

15:53America was the light

15:54now they're saying

15:54keep this away from us.

15:56Now in war

15:57it's beginning to war

15:58against the very people

15:59like you

16:00who are seeking

16:01to do

16:02what America

16:03was called to do

16:03from the beginning.

16:05So what's the warning?

16:07You can start out

16:07dedicated to God

16:09but if you

16:09you gotta be careful

16:10because you can lose sight

16:12you can begin

16:14serving other gods

16:15and idols

16:15without realizing it

16:16money

16:17success

16:17prosperity

16:18you know yourself

16:19and not even realize it

16:21you can forget

16:22the purpose

16:23of your own life

16:23your own salvation

16:24you can lose

16:25your first love

16:26forget why you're here

16:26there's so many churches

16:27that have forgotten

16:28why they're here

16:29but people too

16:31by getting so involved

16:32you get so busy

16:33you forget

16:34God gets out

16:35you lose the fire

16:36you still give the name

16:37but the fire

16:38you can grow cold

16:40and not realize it

16:41it can happen gradually

16:43so you don't even realize it

16:45could that be you

16:45in some way

16:46is there some way

16:47you can't just dedicate

16:50to the Lord once

16:52rededicate it every day

17:27you're putting yourself

17:31at risk

17:32if you are taking part

17:35in its ways

17:37if you're not standing

17:38if you're taking part

17:40entertainments

17:41I'm not saying all entertainment

17:43is wrong

17:43I'm not saying that at all

17:44but I'm saying

17:44you need to watch it

17:45because it's getting

17:46more and more

17:47end times

17:48and you have to draw

17:50the line in the sand

17:51say no

17:51as for me and my house

17:53we will serve the Lord

17:54come what may

18:32we love what America was

18:36but we have to have

18:37no part in the bad of it

18:40you must be separate

18:45so you can be a light

18:46unto her

18:48if you're joined in

18:50take your stand

18:53like the prophets

18:55like Jeremiah now

18:56stand in the gap

18:57they interceded

18:58for their people

19:00when they interceded

19:02and we're accusing them

19:03they said

19:10his promise is good

19:30but take it as if

19:34for our own lives

19:37on fire

19:44that God is calling

19:45take it up

19:47before you go to bed

19:50founded to be a light

19:51to the nations

19:52but the light is dying

19:53therefore

19:54you must

19:56all the more

19:59if it's getting darker

20:01to say

20:01okay I better hide the light

20:03if it's getting harder

20:04because the darkness

20:04is saying

20:05we're gonna

20:08to hide your light

20:10to say this darkness

20:11needs the light

20:12all the more

20:17the calling of America

20:18to be a city on a hill

20:20the Lord Messiah

20:21and he wasn't speaking

20:22about America

20:23he was speaking about you

20:24his disciple

20:28has lost its light

20:28it's a reminder

21:05you light it up

21:06by living a life

21:07that is uncompromised that's the powerful life that god will bless you light it up by living for

21:19my god no matter what that's forever this is temporary that's forever you light it up in the

21:25name of yeshua when you proclaim jesus you are standing when you're following him when you say
